“A Courtyard, but tired”

The hotel felt really worn out in every way, and under-maintained. All of the things that made it cheap to build stand out. Next time, I'll stay in one of the many alternatives.

“Clean and Comfortable with easy access to SFO airport.”

We stayed here after staying at another hotel in the city and found it to be just as convienent and easy to get around the city. The spa felt wonderful after a full day of walking. Would have liked the pool to be warmer and think breakfast should be included automatically.

“convenient and quiet”

This hotel is located on a wonderful walking trail in an area very near the airport, but you don't hear airplanes! We had a wonderful experience.....staff are very helpful and courteous, and the place is squeaky clean!

“In an industrial park, rather out of the way, but fine accommodations and service”

Located in a still-developing industrial area, with an active railroad track running nearby, fairly easy off highway 101N from SFO, with a pleasant view of the East Bay (including Mt Diablo on a clear day) and a body of water connected with the Bay, hotel is rather out of the way but fairly easy to get to from highway 101N (that runs right by SFO airport). Beware some intersections have signs prohibiting right turns on red (and unlit signs may be hard to see at night in the rain). Hotel service and accommodations are fine. There is a long table with three internet-connected desktop PCs and a couple of printers available for free, but there is no enclosed room around this business table just off the main lobby and restaurant area. Front desk clerk faxed a document for me -- again, fine service. Can hear trains running by periodically when you're outside the hotel, but not inside, same with aircraft from/to SFO. I'd stay there again..

Area recommendations

Princeton-by-the-Sea for a smallish townlike with seafood experience. SF of course. A small neighborhood restautant with family-style great food in SSF, "The Garden Club".

“Not all that great...”

The rooms were noisy. You can hear the doors banging and people talking outside. Also you can hear the elevator bells every single time it reaches a floor. The airconditioning unit was loud; you can hear the neighbor's unit.

“Great hotel at a great price”

We were traveling around northern California, and picked this hotel for the last three daysat the end of our trip for its convenience to the airport. We had a rental car, so the easy access to the freeway was convenient for traveling into San Francisco, which was not a long drive. We also enjoyed the location next to the Bay and the recreational path along the San Francisco Bay. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but we had a car so it was not a problem for us. It was an easy 10 minute drive to drop off the rental car before our flight out. There was no microwave or refrigerator in our room.

“Mediocre for Courtyard Marriotts only due to restaurant service and room service.”

No one responded to room service even after I called and got no answer, then contacted front desk. No pick up of phone -- front desk couldn't reach them either. Went to hotel restaurant instead. Female waitress at hotel restaurant at dinner flirted EXTENSIVELY with another customer while I waited...and waited. "You're a bad boy, I can tell..." were among many exchanges...etc. Very slow service considering there were only a couple of customers in the restaurant. Likewise, no one attending the buffet in the morning -- had to wait for quite a while to find the butter - would have had omlette if someone had been there. Aside from very poor restaurant service, room was nice, spacious, quiet, clean and convenient. Front desk fellow very quick, friendly and attentive.
