“Location, location, location!”

First of all, hands down fantastic location to be in to experience San Francisco! Only minutes walk from the Pier (where all the action is); yet still accessible to other areasapproximately 20 minutes away or a quick cable train ride. Fisherman's Wharf has fantastic seafood, and something you mustnt miss (it may sound silly) is the clam chowder- YUM! Also, super close to the Alcatraz tour and plenty of bike rentals to cross the Golden Gate. The place was quaint- which I loved. Spacious room and kept very tidy. Only downside to room service was on our first day, people came in on 3 separate occassion to fix/change things in the room (should of been done all together). But this only did happen once.. Service overall was what I would call 'meh'. Staff didn't attempt to help nor were they rude. For us it wasnt a big deal- we preferred to be left alone. Overall, I cant wait to go back to experience the city more!

Area recommendations

Walk to Chinatown and find a small alley called 'Ross'. There is a tiny store which sells fortune cookies. Best kept secret ever! It is a MUST!

Rent a bike for a day and explore anything you wish :)

“Great Value”

For a relaxing time in a convenient location, easy access to wherever you want to go at a fair price this is one of the best values. We have stayed at a number of hotels in SF at the Wharf and Embarcadero. You can go and return and go again as part of any SF plan. We love SF and we will come back to the Tuscan again...often. Thank you to the Tuscan and its employees.

Area recommendations

The city is great, the more time you can spend the more wonderful adventures you will have. Walk Columbus (North Beach), see China Town, Tour the Wharf, and don't miss the DeYoung Museum (and their Cafe). Also, walking (tough if you have an infant) from the Palace of Fine arts area to the Disney Family Museum (carefully plan your transportation to an from and expect to spend 3 hours it is great). The Saturday morning Farmers market at the Ferry Plaza Clock Tower Building at the Embarcadero is not to miss. You can pick up breakfast and a portable lunch to take wherever you want to go (bring a bag to carry the stuff you will want to get several items as there is a lot to pick from for food). “Would definitely return to this hotel”

We were very happy with our stay at the Tuscan Inn. The hotel is located in a very convenient, safe area, and is approximately two blocks from the Fishermen's Wharf area. The hotel staff were very accomodating and knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely return to this hotel.

“Great Location .... Terrible noise”

Hotel is great overall, location, clean and service. However the windows are too thin and you get terrible traffic noise throu out the night including an alarm from the Safeway parking lot whenever a car exits. Its terrible. Our window didnt shut properly so it was even worse. If you can sleep through that then this hotel is great, if not you will be frusturated and sleepless.

“Very nice hotel”

This Hotel was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable and close to everthing at Fishermans Wharf. The happy hour was much appreciated.

If you are planning on going to Alcatraz Island, do book in advance on the internet. We saw a lot of disappointed people being turned away because they were fully booked up for a least 2 days ahead.

“Charming Hotel. Great location”

Was impressed with this hotel. The staff went above and beyond on any request. Cannot recommend the restaurant attached to the hotel. Ate breakfast there and it was overpriced and below average. The room was small but very clean and attractive. Will definitely stay there again if we're back in San Francisco.
