“It was ok”
In need of remodel. Housekeeper where very good. Bed was awful. was about a 2 star hotel
“Noise level from other guests was not tolerable-we left after 1 night”
The rooms are old, the doors and walls have no soundproofing. Wedding guests were partying in the hallway day and night running from room to room. The carpet in our roomwas still wet when we arrived, The shower/tub was patched . The bathroom was tiny. Towels were well used and shredded on edges. The view is wonderful and it would have been nice if the other guests would have allowed us to enjoy the room and balcony. Very disappointing for a 44 anniversary weekend away.
“2nd time here”
I love Kona Kai,beautiful setting, quiet and relaxing, nice view of the bay this time, and the hot tub right in front of the marina,it's awsome!
“Overall Very Good”
Clean rooms. Good hotel for the price. Close to others with better dining choices.
“One of San Diego's finest”
An outstanding hotel in a beautiful location of San Diego. Very scenic and peaceful. The service was excellant. Can't wait to go back!!!!!
“Last minute trip to San Diego”
We booked the night before and secured an amazing deal. Thid hotel has a great location its close to everything. The room needs to be updated the bed is hard and the furniture is a little beat up, but can not beat the price and location.
“Not Hawaiian”
If you are draw by the allure of the Hawaiian name or the "Drive to Hawaii" tag lines they promote you will be disappointed. It should read "Drive to Mexico" because there was nothing Hawaiian about the place other than the name. All the buildings are Spanish style with Spanish names on them, the luau advertised did not exist.
“San Diego vacation”
The hotel has a great Hawaiian decor. You really need a car to get around but everything we wanted to see was no more than a 30 min. drive. We had a complimentary breakfast every morning. This was just enough to get us going for the day. We had a pool and marina view room. We would definitely stay there again.
“Point Lomas best”
Great place. Cant wait to go back!
“I will like to visit again in the future”
It was a great place to stay, and will definitely going to go again if i end up being in SD
