“Dirty room, no shuttle, friendly people”
I got to the airport, and called the hotel about the shuttle and they said it wasn't running, but that they'd reimburse me for a cab. When I told the cab driver where I was going he asked if I was going to pay, and then explained how it was had apparently been an issue in the past with passengers going to the Red Roof Inn. But the hotel did promptly reimburse me for the cab fare. My room was a smoking room (as advertised), so it stunk like a smoking room. It was also quite dirty, with hair in the sink and bits of trash here or there. But the highlight had to be the pair of women's underwear hanging on the shower rod. Also, there was no iron or iron board in the room, and that was a pain. I requested a taxi at 7 AM, but they assumed I just meant another shuttle replacement and had a 6 person cab ready to go the airport with a group of other guests, so I had to wait for the cab driver to get back to take me to my destination. I can't really recommend this hotel, but it is pretty cheap and near the airport, and the people are friendly.
“Because I must enter a title”
It was close to the airport, maybe 5-8 minutes. Shuttle doesn't start till 6, which I misunderstood, but they did a time call on a cab for me and it was there right on time and about 6 bucks. The room was fine, a nice desk to work at and a very fast internet connection. I ate before being dropped off, but not many restaurants within walking distance. A few good ones within a mile though, if driving. I usually like something a little nicer, but was leaving very early so this was quite convenient. Difficult to find though without a Garmin.
“Red Roof”
The room had a musty smell and I wouldn't stay again.
“absoluteely nothing wrong with this hotel for its price”
flew into san antonio to see my son for his birthday. i usually stay out by his base but had an early flight home and didnt want to have him get up at 4am to take me to the airport so decided to stay close to it. this place was inexpensive very clean the employees very helpful not one thing wrong with the hotel/staff at all. only thing is i wish there were a few stores within walking distance but i didnt see any.
“They tried harder”
We picked this hotel for proximity to San Antonio airport & shuttle. The shuttle was down but they put us in a cab both ways. It needs a restaurant or two within walking distance. Order-in is available but pricey
“Great Overnight Stay”
Easy check in/check out-great place for money.
“Will come back again!”
I felt safe especially since I was alone. My first time out of town by myself and I felt comfortable. Will come again.
“Good hotel for the cost”
My boyfriend and I have been here at least 5 times in the past 2 months since we're residence-shopping. Great local, it's 5 min from the airport and North Star Mall, heading north you hit 1604 within 10 min. The area is very secluded off 281, dark and empty lots closeby. No fridges or microwaves but there is a safe (I'm pretty sure there's a charge though). The lobby has a microwave you can use and the ice dispenser is also in the lobby. There's a couple snack and soda machines throughout. No hairdryer and no iron though I think you can request them for free. A couple times the room smelled a bit funny, the AC's work great!, and once when there was a lighting storm the crazy thunder caused the fire alarms to go off REPEATEDLY in the middle of the night. THIS REALLY SUCKED!! When I called and asked what was going on I was told it was being looked into but it continued for hours and no discount was offered for the next visit or anything. Compared to many SA hotels of this rating this is one of the cleanest. That's a big reason we always go back. The sheets are clean and the bathroom is always clean, no mildew in the tub or on the curtain that I've noticed. One complaint is that once the towels weren't stocked, but I of course got some at the front desk. Water pressure very good. There's 2 HBO channels as well as local, you can buy movies for $15 (inc. porn but the previews don't work). No continental breakfast, just coffee with powdered creamer. Will stay again though.
“Good Hotel for the price”
It was nice for the time i was there, the receptionist was very friendly.
“for one night is ok”
Smelly room, very good and gentle staff, quick check in, the front desk very good
