Thank you for taking the time to write this review. At the Quality Inn San Antonio North we do take security seriously. We have security cameras setup throughout the hotel and parking lot and have a brightly lit parking lot you can see from the highway. Our pool is cleaned and tested daily to ensure proper balance that the water needs. We hope you will give us another try and see what we are really about.

Ok hotel to stay at

Posted 11-Aug-2014
Pros: Staff was nice and the breakfast was better than expected.
Cons: Cleanliness of the bathroom, and the room's carpet needs to be cleaned and changed out. Whole hotel needs to be deodorized.
Location: Other hotels, places to eat, and the highway I35.
I have stayed in worse hotels, and for the money the conditions were fair. I was disappointed slightly because there were no wash cloths, admittedly, I did not contact the staff to correct the wash cloth issue. I had limited time on my trip. I have read other reviews stating there is a cigarette smell to the hotel, however, I did not notice much of a poor smell of cigarettes, but the room did smell old. I think the hotel needs to update their carpet. I also think they need to clean their shower curtains more often, rather than spraying the curtains with bleach. On the other hand the few interactions I had with the staff were pleasant, and professional. Briefly I ate some of the continental breakfast, which consisted of: eggs, sausage, boiled eggs, banana, cereal, waffles, and some pastries. Overall I would say the food selection was better than expected. Overall, if you choose to stay in this hotel it is worth it for the price, just under stand there is a reason that people are giving this hotels threes.

Nice Hotel on Northeast Side of San Antonio

Posted 06-Aug-2014
Pros: Breakfast and pool.
Cons: Slow wi-fi and water pressure in bath.
Location: It is on northeast side of San Antonio which is close to Natural Bridge Cavern which we visited.
For the most part we were happy with the hotel. We were visiting grandkids and had them with us at the hotel. It had a great breakfast and a very nice pool that the kids loved swimming in. The room was spacious enough, although the bathroom was a little small. We had booked through Expedia and requested a non-smoking room (our confirmation even showed we had a non-smoking room), but when we got there, we were told that Expedia had booked a smoking room. But after talking with the manager they did find us a non-smoking room. Our biggest complaints were that the wi-fi was very slow and water pressure in the shower was too low. If you turned on the water in the tub it came out very hard, but as soon as you turned on the shower, it was too light. Also had trouble getting the water to stay at the right temperature. Overall, we were satisfied with the room and would probably go back.

Hoodwinked!

Posted 25-Jul-2014 on Hotels.com
I'm not picky. I know there are reasonable discrepancies that take place at every hotel. However, being in the hotel business, some things should be normal day to day operation. My family and I were very disappointed at the poor level of service we received. 1st, there was not enough towels in room when we arrived. Lamp bulbs were out. We called for replacements and they didn't come until 3 days later. Each time the cleaners came, they took all dirty/used towels and didn't replace a single one. We had to call to get new towels. The Computer & printer in bus. center was useless. Internet was so slow, and PC had viruses in it. Printer only printed in black and white. The pool water was dirty & smelled like toilet bowl. Breakfast every morning was OK, but they just didn't have food out there quick enough for people to enjoy. Coffee pots empty, Juice machines empty, Waffle Maker was old and Waffles stuck to machine even with spray. "Cold" water was not cold at all. Coffee area had no stirrers at all for entire week of our stay. And the list goes on. The only good thing about our stay was that out air conditioner worked fine and we were able to be comfortable from the Hot Texas sun. The location was not so great although there were numerous stores and restaurants nearby. Bottom line, I will NEVER stay there again. I highly recommend anyone reading this post to find another location and pay a little more. It will be worth it.

No quality at all

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: The pool was nice
Location: The neighborhood was not that good.
We arrived at the hotel and they didn't have our reservation, they told us that expedia didn't make the reservation on their system, we waited 40 minutes on the lobby until they reached expedia personnel and they confirmed the reservation. The hotel smelled like if someone was constantly smoking, we had a non smoking room, but you couldn't tell the difference. The room was not nice at all.

Super convenient location, great for families!

Posted 26-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, pool, breakfast, beds and microwave and fridge.
Cons: Parking lot was dirty around the doors. Probably due to the large group of welders staying there at the same time who all hung out outside.
Location: Location was convenient to me because it's easy to get on/off I-35 and is just north of 410, so easy access to both.
I was traveling with my husband and two daughters on vacation. We were able to find the hotel right away and it's in a 'neutral' part of town - not too many restaurants or bars, mostly small industrial or small business area. I enjoyed that it was right off the highway. When I first checked in, we had a ground floor room and pool was right outside our window - not so great for privacy. I asked to be moved and was immediately accomodated. However, if available and the view is important to you, ask for a room overlooking the pool / lawn side; the other side overlooks the parking lot only. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Having a microwave and a refrigerator was definitely a plus for our family of four. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows were as well. The TV has satellite channels, great for us. We went swimming the first day and the pool is well kept and we very much enjoyed it. There is also a very large lawn area that is very well landscaped and has a sitting area; this is one of the first hotels I have seen to have that. Another bonus to us was that breakfast went well past 8:30.. maybe until 9 but I didn't check the times. This was great because I have stayed in other hotels where we've had to wake up at 6:45am just to make it to a breakfast ending at 8am. Breakfast was sausage, eggs, waffles, pastries, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt - a good selection and they did not run out of anything. We would stay here again.
