We visited that hotel three years ago and our experience was different. We loved our stay that time. However, during our recent visit, we noticed that the hotel is in need of renovation and some maintenance work needs to be done. Despite this, we had a good experience overall, considering the price.

I didnt mind that the hotel was a bit run down. For the cost and location it is worth it in my opinion. Dont believe whatever youre looking at as far as the way the rooms look on expedia. They make it like theres enough room for 5 people. Theres not. Staff was great and we didnt have any problem besides the room lacking space for 5 people and the bathroom being very,very small and claustrophobic.

The staff was very nice and friendly. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The area felt safe. The outside, buildings, door, walkways were dirty and unkept. The facility needs to be painted.

The staff were the greatest. The facilities are older and need some renovations. The location was great for us, close to Mexican Marketplace and numerous Mexican restaurants. The trolley and local bus stops right out front.

It’s reasonable and average to stay here. The breakfast, they offered boiled eggs instead of scrambled eggs along with sausage, toasts, muffins, cereals, yogurts, make your waffles. They have 4 different kinds of juices. The foods are kept on restock and clean The property is in good condition. Staff are friendly and attentive.

This property is right across from the Historic Market Square. There are lots of places to eat and shop there. It was appx a mile walk to Alamo and Riverwalk too!! This made the location perfect for us to just park and enjoy the area. Staff was super friendly! Check in was a breeze and they gave us a lot of recommendations for things to do in the area. The room was clean and comfortable which is all we wanted so for the price it couldn't be beat. It's not new but that's not what we needed. The grounds were also clean and well kept. Would stay here again for sure!

The room had a terrible smell from the carpet, like an old rotten socks, the staff said that they will clean the carpet but that didn’t help. If you are searching for a comfortable night this is not the right place. Otherwise, it’s close to the market and transportation accessible.

Room was not good because the bed was in bad condition and hard to sleep in and our 14 year old granddaughter had to sleep on the floor because they did not have a roll a way bed that we requested when we made reservations. No telephone and the airconditioning did not work. Room is over priced for it's condition and needs a good makeover. The staff working there when we arrived were very good.

I wouldn’t stay there. They treat customers like criminals that need to be watched. They told me that they were doing me a favor by staying there. And there is a guy that works the front desk that is rude and when there is a situation he says he’s going to call the police. So I did and then they resolved the issue, but the man who caused the situation ran in the back room and let the head of housekeeping his mouthpiece. My room was immaculate and that pissed everyone offf.

Do not stay here unless you want to be constantly told that you are lucky that they allow you to be there. They also threaten to call the police as the very slightest misunderstanding. My debit card was put under the management door making with a promise of getting it at 7am he next day. I went to get it after that time only to be told that it was the mangers day off making it unavailable to me when promised. Our room was dated but overall it was kept up and functional. Bed was comfy, Floor areas could use a good cleaning in corners and behind furniture, as we needed to locate plug ins for our electronic devices and noticed this. We always enjoy an LQ hot breakfast but we’re disappointed to find no eggs with the sausages. We asked and were told that the prep area was no bigger than a broom closet and was not able to provide eggs as a breakfast item. We loved the location.

The only good things I can say about this hotel are the staff I talked to were really nice and helpful, and that it’s close to central San Antonio. Other than that, the first thing we noticed was that the room we were assigned immediately reeked of urine when we opened the door. Then we noticed a huge cockroach skittering around outside, the paint was worn off and completely missing in various places all throughout the property inside and outside, the first light switch entering the room didn’t work, the bathtub was very rusty were your feet are and it was missing the white lining in places in the bathtub. Every time we went outside there were homeless walking around.

Staff was very helpful and nice, enjoyed the breaks fast. The only thing I would add is that we ordered a room with 2 beds and couch for 1 more person to sleep in . When we got there they said since it is an older hotel they don’t have couches in the room. They did everything to accommodate that persons sleep.
