“Wonderful service”

Very easy walk to convention center, right on the riverwalk. Wonderful breakfast and light meal in pm. Great to have a suite when traveling with a child, seperate bedroom, tv, etc.

“Excellent Location”

Everything was wonderful, they did have a little trouble with an elevator but considering the age of the property, it was no surprise and they did have staff working on it each day.

“Best hotel stay in a while”

Great hotel to stay at. Quiet, clean, staff is courteous and friendly. I had a large suite with a little kitchenette. Only downfall was the bathroom was shower only - no tub.... Great continental breakfast and during the week evening cocktail hour with light dinner served. Right on the Riverwalk and easy walk to other local attractions. Very happy with my stay and will look for this hotel chain in other cities to stay at again.

“Great Hotel”

The hotel suite was very nice. We used the fridge and microwave daily. The free breakfast always had three hot selections and cereal, fruit, juice and toast. The free light dinner Monday through Thursday was an unexpected bonus. We enjoyed our stay and found the staff very eager to please. The rooms were practically sound proof as we heard little noise from other rooms. The location worked well for us as it was a few blocks from the torch and a few blocks the opposite direction to El Mercado. I recommend this hotel to couples and families alike.

“Excellent choice on the RIverwalk”

There are plenty of Riverwalk choices, but few compare to this Homewood Suites, which in my experience is one of the best in the chain. Within easy walking distance of everything downtown; immaculate, spacious, comfortable rooms; outstanding service personnel and a hot, hearty breakfast. All this for less than similarly appointed extended-stay properties in the area. You can't go wrong.

Area recommendations

If you prefer to dispense with rental cars while traveling (as I do), the Riverwalk area affords an easy stroll to everything you'd want to see in central San Antonio. It's safe, clean, and well-served by public transit to other areas (easy bus rides to the missions south of town, and the family attractions to the north).

“Enjoyed our visit”

We chose this hotel because it offered a true suite. My husband and I slept in the bedroom, while my adult daughter had the sofa bed. The room was huge, there was a good-sized dining table and a small kitchen with an ice maker. We were within walking distance of El Mercado and the river walk. After I had booked the room, friends told us that they had stayed there and really like it. We would stay there again.

“A great hotel for my family!”

The location of the hotel was right on the Riverwalk and only a few walking minutes from the main area of the Riverwalk - it was more quiet. The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to help us. The free breakfasts in the morning filled the family up. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the San Antonio area and I would stay here again!

“Impressed”

There are several updates this hotel could do, and they were actually upgrading to flat screens as we were checking out. Overall though, the staff was very friendly and the hotel was very nice. Easy check in and out process. Parking was pretty expensive. The beds were comfy and overall it was a good experience. I would definitely visit this hotel again.
