As we were checking in, Laura the front desk lady was looking at our info and was trying to figure out why Expedia charged us such a high rate. She said that had I dealt directly with the hotel I would have gotten a substantially lower rate. And here I am thinking Expedia is getting me the best rate. Never again will I deal with them. The Hotel was great all around The breakfast was fabulous. I would stay there again.

the property is good for big family, and close to the parks; there is HEB near, and a couple of restaurants around, just the carpet smell on the halls , but rooms was clean and big

The location was fine for what we were doing intown but the room smelled funny to say the least. The elevators were very clunky and scary one day the button work next day it did not when arriving the front desk area and the hallways were so hot and uncomfortable for being a non smoking facility sure smelled like smoke.The lady in the front tried to be helpful but didnt resolve any issues, the room had 1 tv for being a suite and the tv did not get loud so watching any movies sucked. For the price it is not worth the stay look elsewhere bc they do not help in making your stay any better unfortunately.

The check-in process was very simple and easy. I was somewhat shocked at the condition of the room. The walls were dirty and had drip stains on them, the tile on the bathroom floor was not secure, the switch plate in the bathroom was cracked, and the couch in the suite had a visible white stain on it. This was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in.

The elevators made concerning noises, the door to my room didn't seal properly, the maid service removed my washrag and didn't replace it and breakfast was mediocre. However, the room was spacious and clean and checking in and out was easy. There are a lot of dining options and shopping areas within walking distance.

The attendant at the front desk was dressed like she just rolled out of bed (fine, since we arrived at 10pm). But she got a bit snippy with me when I was trying to use the the card reader. She thought I wasn’t following instructions but it turned out the problem was on her end. She apologized. We (hubby, kids and I) made it up to the room, which was a nice size. The carpet all around needs a good cleaning. There wasn’t debris on the floor so it’s evident that they vacuumed but it visibly hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The bathroom unfortunately was the biggest concern. I noticed as I was changing for bed, that the base of the toilet had dried pee with curly hair stuck to it (I took pictures). The base of the tub was neglected too. It was a poor cleaning job. I did show the desk attendant the pics the next day and she was so unconcerned. Breakfast (according to my 8, 12 and 14yr old) was not good. They all said the waffle batter is as cheap and watered down as it gets. The waffles didn’t taste good. I totally expected that but my poor kids were shocked. I will say, the beds were comfortable! So they have that going for them. Glad it was only for a night. I didn’t have super high expectations (after all, it’s a Comfort Inn), but reviews were decent and it was only for one night (overpriced but cheaper than other hotels nearby). I WILL NOT be back to another one. I’ll pay the extra to stay where it’s clean and we’d be comfortable.

A very good located hotel in the north part of San Antonio, within a shopping and dining area. and in the intersection of two highways. About 20 minutes away from Downtown, La Calera, North Star Mall and a 50-minute drive to San Marcos Outlets.

Great value for the price
Great value for the price—excellent free breakfast. The fitness center is pretty sparse and could stand some attention and a few more machines (upright bike, weight machines), but it’d need to be made larger.

The hotel needs some refreshing-hall carpets were dirty, the corners of the room were filthy. It was nice to have a breakfast but the eggs were cold and the coffee in the lobby was cold. The staff was very friendly and the room service ladies had new coffee packets for me every day. It was an ok stay.
