“OK, but not memorable.”

Was just "OK". Was a bit more like staying at a hotel than a bed and breakfast. No real interaction with anyone at the place. The breakfast was a basket of fruit, cheese, etc left at the door. OK, but not memorable. Location was convenient (reasonable walk) to River Walk and Alamo.

“Can't wait to go back, I plan on staying there every year for my annual event.”

I really enjoyed my stay and plan to go back. I was suprised to be given tickets to the event I was planning on attending that night. It was suprisingly private and peaceful. I can't wait to go back and plan on going back every year.

“Great historic B&B in the heart of old San Antonio”

I arrived at Arbor House as the last stop on a brief two week tour of US and just in time for the end of the Fiesta. Accommodation was lovely and well maintained. Whilst lacking some of the mod-cons that the more soulless hotel chains are able to offer, there was a real sense of history about the place with lots of original features. This B&B is something to enjoy and has its own atmosphere to enjoy. It is far more than a mere base for exploring San Antonio. In addition, grounds provide a welcome oasis from the hustle of downtown. Owners wonderfully hospitable and friendly and provided information about the festival (and complimntary tickets to Niosa and the parades) which greatly improved our stay and made it more enjoyable than otherwise. Highly recommended.

Traveller's tip
Instead of heading straight to Riverwalk and downtown for dinner, Rosario's (and others) south of downtown provides great food at a reasonable price in a warm friendly atmosphere more frequented by locals than by tourists.
