“nice location”
I was worried about the reviews that mentioned noise at night. We had the front room on the second floor but it was very quiet.
“A Gem of a Hotel”
This hotel is conveniently situated in a pedestrian street. It is a short walk away from the Old Town of Salzburg approx. 5 minutes. It is also near the bus stops so handy for getting to and from the Airport. Bus No. 2 will take you into Salzburg from the Airport and vice versa. We did book a 'Superior' double room but were actually in a conventional double. The buffet breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of food. One word of warning, the rooms at the front of the hotel which overlook the shops etc can be noisy particularly in the morning what with deliveries/rubbish carts etc. The hotel is also not manned at night so you will need your room card to access the sliding door. Overall a pleasant small hotel which we would recommend.
“Very Impressed”
The Hotel is very well located right in the Altstadt but also very near to the main road and the bus stops. Its a small hotel -that is perhaps there is a lot of personnal attention. The most beautiful spot in the hotel is the Deck at the rear which Faces a old Cemetry. It is very peaceful to sit facing the greens. Overall it was a very good experience. If We go back to Salzburg we will stay there again
“Pass on this hotel”
The hotel rooms are as pictured in the Expeida photos and are very attractive. Unfortunately the hotel had staffing and maintenance issues that negatively impacted our stay. Our reservation was guaranteed for late arrival but no staff member was present in the hotel after 6 pm. Even when there was a staff member present the phone was not answered many times. During our two night stay there was no heat in our room and hot water (warm really) only occurred after letting the shower run a very long time. Other guests complained that they had no hot water. We were moved from our first room as the TV did not work but the door on our second room appeared to have been forced at one time. The hotel fronts on a mostly pedestrian street that had loud people walking by until about 3 am. There 38 churches in Salzburg so you will hear some bells, but there is a church right next door to the hotel that has some very long 7am peals. I slept through it but my husband did not. Nice location but it needs to resolve the staffing issues.
“Excellent location!”
Small hotel, but clean, attractive with an excellent location on quaint street with interesting shops and restaurants. Would stay there again!
“Construction zone”
Unfortunately, while the hotel, room, and area were all great, the room itself was situated directly above ongoing construction starting at 8:30 in the morning every day. Not great after a night out sampling the local beers...
“A perfect location in Salzburg city centre”
We arrived the evening before "Three Kings Day" January 6th which is a holiday in Austria. Our room at the front of the hotel provided us with a ring side seat to the revellers in the street below and we did not get much sleep. The hotel quickly gave us a room at the rear of the hotel which was perfect. for the next 3 nights. The staff are very courteous and helpful and the breakfast buffet was very good. We would definitely stay there again.
“Great location”
The hotel was very convenient, although in the new town it was only a few minutes walk to the bridge to go over to the old town. The room was comfy, we were lucky and were at the back of the hotel which overlooked the cemetery so no noise problem. Breakfast was very good, plenty to eat although no hot food (apart from boiled eggs). Would stay there again if visiting Salzburg.
“Cute atmospheric hotel”
Nice, clean hotel. As advertised, a/c in public areas but not rooms; rooms did have a great breeze though so not hot, even in July. Also as advertised, parking is in a pay garage. Friendly staff and would stay here again.
“Fantastic location yet nice and quiet”
After travelling for 6 weeks we just wanted to settle for a few days but be close to the main attractions/old town. This hotel is well located and only a short walk to everything. From the main railway station we boarded the local number 1 bus to Mirrabell Gardens then a 10 min walk to the hotel. All very easy and cost 1.8 euros each! The hotel is good value for Salzburg I think. Very clean, comfortable, good breakfast and very helpful staff. I would be happy to go back.
