“Good value”

Hotel is exactly what it says, All you need. It was what we were looking for since we only needed a place to sleep and shower. It was clean and the location was in walking distance of most of the sights. Breakfast buffet was very good also.

“Service makes this budget hotel stand out”

It's worth commending a budget hotel that gets it right. I stayed three nights at this property during the annual Festspiele (August). For price and location the hotel is ideal; but it is what it says - a budget hotel. I was especially impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff - this made the stay memorable. Be aware the property is not air-conditioned; so temperatures above 33 degrees C as I experienced made the stay a little trying in terms of climate. Breakfast is simple but healthy, and the dining room has a pleasant outlook from the 4th (top) floor of the property.

“I am very impressed with the quality of service, great breakfast, and great location.”

This hotel is clean, serves a very good breakfast buffet on the rooftop balcony with a fantastic view. The location is great in that you can walk to the center of activities within 10 minutes. Very satisfied!

“Good convenience for the price”

Our taxi driver had a little trouble finding the hotel (one-way street), but that was the only difficulty we experienced here. A street with lots of shops and cafes is just around the corner, and a short walk over the bridge to old-town Salzburg. The room was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very pleasant, helped us book a tour, answered our many questions, and ordered a taxi for us when we checked out. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you are traveling on a budget.

“All you need in Salzburg”

This hotel is just as the name describes - all you need, including hairdryer, TV and enough space without frills. However, there is no air-conditioning, room safe or fridge. The included breakfast and outside roof terrace are good value. The very central position is ideal for sightseeing and restaurants, with a hotel subsidised car park conveniently next door. I would certainly choose this hotel again.

“Worth to go there again!”

This was a good hotel with good breakfast and location. There was no air-conditioning in the room so we had to open the windows. It worths living the this hotel and going for visit in Salzburg again.

“Everything I Needed”

Simple, neat, clean and safe, plus a true hearty breakfast as advertised. Walking distance to everything. Helpful staff.

Area recommendations

On either the left bank (old town) or the right bank. Lively with activity and most tourist sites are in walking distance.

Getting around

Salzburg is easy to get around either by walking or on the city buses. The bus maps are easy to understand and the bus fare is included in the Salzburg Card which is great.

Dining

Cafe Tomaselli was a little disappointing. By afernoon they were out of the famous sacher torte and other pastry was a little stale. Blau Gans Restaurant was wonderful: food, wines, staff, atmosphere.

Events and shows

The Marionette Theatre was great fun for all ages. Recommend it!

I took full advantage of the Salzburg Card and am sure I saved a lot of money by doing so.
