Good location

Pros: Cleaniness
Cons: The times the hotel maids come
Nice hotel. I would stay there again. The rooms were clean, but the maids came early and they do not come back. They are all very informative of where to eat, play, and things to do there if you ask. Very pleasant.

Good location, great staff

Posted 09-Apr-2015
Pros: Staff, mountain view, bed, silence, breakfast. Free internet.
Cons: Internet speed
Location: Shopping, Wheelers Historical Farm.
Good location south of Salt Lake City downtown, near major highways, shopping and most important, the mountains. Walking distance to the Wheelers Historical Farm, worth a visit. Complimentary breakfast good enough although always crowd. Complimentary sandwiches or hot meal in the evening (first time I see that service in a hotel). We got a very nice and large room high floor and facing the mountains. Very good bed and pillows, an adjacent room with a sofa and a table with 2 chairs, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Double sink bathroom. I recommend this hotel.

Traveling with a family of 4. Room was large enough and very clean. Staff was VERY accommodating and helpful. The food was basic but well chosen with some nutritious choices. Would gladly stay there again - a good value.

Unfriendly staff, lied about my reservation

Posted 12-Mar-2015
Pros: NOTHING
Cons: EVERYTHING
I made a reservation on Expedia. The reservation clearly stated it was for a non smoking room. The front desk lady told me that as per my reservation I had a smoking room, since I did not have my conformation in my hand I believed that I had made a mistake. She said they did not have a non smoking room but I could go up and check it out and see if I could use it. I checked in and took the key and went to the room. I lasted 2 minutes before I started developing a headache. I returned down to the check in counter, all of this took place within 10 minutes. She then tried to tell me that since I checked in after 6PM I was liable for the room, after my protest she said ok I would have to pay 50%. I protested and repeated what she had said a few minutes before, (I could go up and check it out and see if it would work) she did not say by the way if you check in I'm going to charge you even if you don't want the room. By this time I had contacted my office staff in California to look for another room, she looked up my reservation and it was for a non smoking room. She emailed me the conformation and I realized the desk clerk had lied to me from the very beginning. I made the reservation for a non smoking room, but the staff must have given it to someone else. I travel a great deal on business and I have instructed my staff to NEVER book me in ANY Crystal Inn.
