I'd Consider Other Lodging First

Posted 25-Jan-2015
Pros: The staff was pleasant and the room seemed clean
Location: The hotel is somewhat distant from restaurants, entertainment, and retail.
An older facility, dingy and significantly overpriced. Very disappointed.

Has faded a bit

Posted 21-Jan-2015
Pros: Location, breakfast, in good condition.
Cons: Fire my maid!
Location: Fort Union area, a mile away, has literally every store you would ever need. The freeway gives you rapid access to ski. It took 25 minutes to Alta.
This is our fourth stay for ski holiday. They still include a light dinner, but it used to be very good. Now it's average. The breakfast is still very good. We had poor maid service thruout our stay. It came as a surprise, as former stays never had an issue. The mountain view comes at the cost of very loud noises in the 3AM range from the Red Cross bloodbank next door. Still a great place to stay!! They will get better maids. We just got unlucky.

Highly recommended hotel near the slopes

Posted 14-Jan-2015
Hands down the best choice of hotel near the slopes. Super friendly staff. The hotel shuttle made transportation to the airport, bus/train stops and local restaurants so easy and convenient. Hotel also offered free breakfast and dinner which saved us a lot of worry, time, and money. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a hotel outside of lodging. Will absolutely come again.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff and great beds

Posted 09-Jan-2015
Location: We used the hotel as base for skiing. It's close to the little (Alta, Snowbird) and big Cottonwood Canyons (Brighton, Solitude), ski rental shops.
Great hotel, amazingly cheap. Very attentive and friendly service, clean room, better than usual breakfast, plus free shuttles and even free dinners. Beds are excellent for us, I slept much better than usual. Did I mention that the wi-fi worked very well in the room? My only complaint would be the poor acoustic insulation across the floors, if you want it quiet ask for a room at the top floor. But that seems to be a problem we face in most hotels...

Just an average Hotel

Posted 06-Jan-2015
The staff was nice, however the room the next morning wasn't cleaned very well. Our ice bucket had gum in it and overall the room didn't feel "clean". The breakfast was average. The pillows were flat out just bizarre. My pillow felt like milk with curds? Seriously that's the best way I can describe it.

nice hotel, close to 4 ski resorts

Posted 05-Jan-2015
Pros: The staff were exceptional. Night and day.
Cons: comfort of pillows, but two softness choices were on each bed.
Location: Ski bus pick-up and location close to Little Cottonwood and Big Cottonwood canyon entrances . Very nice restaurants that the hotel would take you.
The hotel staff were the most accommodating and friendly. The answered all questions we had and never did we feel rushed with the answers. The hotel provided a shuttle van to restaurants and bus/trax service pick-ups, along w/ airport shuttle. All pick-ups were quick and efficient. All staff had a smile and very friendly. The hotel was in a business district, but staff had excellent suggestions for restaurants and points of interest. The hotel even provided an evening meal on a serving line at no extra cost. That was a new service I have never had.

Great Visit

Posted 04-Jan-2015
Pros: Everything.
Cons: I did not have to pay for the stay. Just kidding.
Location: we have family near by so we always have plenty to do.
All went well and the staff were great. We love The Crystal Inn!

Good free breakfast and dinner. And good access to snow places. And shuttle to restaurant too! I could enjoy snow and nightlife during stay.
