Hotel Re provided foundation for very successful & happy trip to Rome. Great staff: manager Maurice [that's the English language version of his name] is built like a rugby lock but a lot more welcoming!! As soon as we hit the desk he pulled out a map to show us the best way to get to places, highlighted the areas to avoid at night, what buses to use, suggested places to eat & where to shop. Hotel is quiet in area where there are a lot of Government Ministries and it's clean. It's close to the city centre & there's a good supermarket about 10 minutes walk away.
Be aware that hotel lobby is on 2nd floor [the lift to it was built during Caeser's time] the breakfast room is a bit cramped & internet for guests slow. Nothing, though, that would stop us going back there again.
We spent 4 nights in Rome with a very ambitious agenda so had to depend on the very knowledgeable front desk staff to provide information and advice, which they willingly shared and got us where we wanted to go. We also had a very nice surprise when we checked in and found they had upgraded our room as a special birthday bonus - I was celebrating my birthday that week. It was a very well appointed and comfortable room in the front of the building on the third floor. Breakfast in the morning was good and nutritious, though I would suggest getting there early as the (bulk) scrambled eggs do start to get cold quickly. There are many well known sites within a 20 to 25 minute walking distance. Trevi Fountain, Spanish steps, Termini square and much shopping at the many small shops (both indoor and outdoor) along the way. There are also many places to dine close by. Transit, either by bus or train, is a short walk and we found it very user friendly. The people there were also very helpful even when having difficulty with English. There are a lot of things to see and do in Rome, so we will be returning again at some point. If we return to the same area, I have no doubt we will once again stay at The Baileys hotel. Our stay was a wonderful experience and a special thank you goes out to the hotel manager, whom we met the first day we walked in.
We have just returned from a 5 day 4 night stay in Hotel Ranieri the staff, rooms. hotel, service absolutley fantastic, so clean our towels and bed linen changed everyday, the staff so freindly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome. The location is brilliant the bus station is a 2 min walk and the metro 10 min walk to all the Rome Attractions.
Really central location and walking distance to the Spanish Steps and Trevie Fountain.
Tour of Vatican, Coliseum and St Peter's Basilica well worth it but use a guide as it means you can bypass the hoards.
The room was actually bigger than I expected. The desk managers were very helpful and kind. My only complaint was that we missed our breakfast one day as we had early morning tickets. It was to be served at 7 AM, but the woman in charge was late to work and we could not wait. Oh well.......seemed to be the attitude of the manager.
Brilliant! Me and my boyfriend arrived at the begining of July for a 3 night break. As soon as we got there our room was changed to a lovely modern room! NOTHING like the pictures! We were so pleased. Ours was bed and breakfast which was fine. Breakfast was crossiants with fillings, yogurts, toast, cereal so a good selection! Relatively close to all the attractions, right next to a lovely restaurant which we dined in the first night. Overal this definately exceeded our expectaions so we'd definately recommend to anyone! Hotel staff were lovely and friendly, our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Tea is provided in the room however you need to get yourself fresh milk and sugar. We had a small fridge in ours so that worked well!
Really nice, simple place to stay. Very friendly hotel staff, clean room and bathroom, secure, close to the station and spanish steps, seemed to be in a very nice area. Had a great stay, would definitely stay again!
