Ok for the price

Posted 13-Jul-2014
The front desk staff was very nice. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However...the walls are paper thin. I could hear the conversation next door like I was in the same room and they were using normal voices. I slept very little because of the noise that came thru the walls on both sides. The interior is very old, wood paneling in the vanity area, old carpet that was stained but odor free. Lighting is very poor in the parking area. For the price it's acceptable, but I wish I had spent a little more and gotten a good nights rest.

Surprised to find this gem!

Posted 26-May-2014
Pros: Staff, cleanliness, location.
Location: near Ft. Smith, AK; near local eateries and gas stations for convenience; near I-40.
Traveled to Roland, Oklahoma for my brother's wedding in May. Was surprised to find this gem of a hotel in Roland. It was near all the major eateries and gas stations, making it super convenient as well.. The hotel staff were all kind of very friendly. The woman at the front desk even helped with contacting Expedia when my reservation hadn't been shared with her from them. Very helpful!

Clean and conveniently right by the interstate.

Posted 01-Apr-2014
Pros: Cleanliness, hot shower, location by interstate.
Cons: Room door needs better weather stripping; the cold draft came in easily.
Location: McDonald's and gas station next door.
The Interstate Inn is an old hotel that's been mostly updated inside and out. The staff are friendly, the room was very clean, the shower was hot and the cost was reasonable. True to its name, the Interstate Inn is right off I-40, and very convenient for stopping while traveling. The room didn't have a coffee pot, but it did have a microwave and small refrigerator. Other reviewers commented negatively on the continental breakfast. It wasn't terrible, just on the cheap side: coffee, OJ, cereal, white toast & Little Debbie breakfast snacks. I consider the Interstate Inn a good value.

Nice hotel. More than you expect.

Posted 19-Mar-2014
Pros: Convenience to the freeway and the price.
Location: The Interstate was very close and there were two gas stations nearby and a McDonald's within walking distance.
I was very nervous about staying here because it was cheap and close to the Interstate. I have a huge phobia of bed bugs or bugs in general and I was sure this hotel was not going to be up to par. I was pleasantly shocked with how friendly the office staff and how clean the room was. You can tell it's an older hotel but it was clean (no bed bugs) and the bed was the most comfortable one on my journey across the country. I was also surprised that we couldn't hear the Interstate, with it being so close. It was the best value in all the hotels we stayed in across the country. I wish there were more hotels like these in different parts of the country.

Thumbs Up to Interstate Inn

Posted 21-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
I’m driving across country and thought that this area (Roland/Sallisaw) would be a good resting point for me. I made it point to plan on low-budget motels. This is situated immediately off of I-40, which made it convenient. Interstate Inn definitely exceeded my expectations. The customer service was EXTREMELY friendly and courteous. (I left my license at the front desk, and the attendant called me in my room and brought it right up.) The room is warm and cozy. Like other motels I’ve experienced on this trip, there wasn’t a coffee maker in the room. Not quite sure why that is since there is a microwave and a fridge. The room was extremely clean and the bed was comfy. Most importantly, since this is January, the HEATER in the room actually worked. In other places, the heater didn’t work and blew “air” with no functional heating/cooling control. There’s a McD’s next door, plus a couple of other gas stations that are safe walkable distance. Strongly recommend checking out the 18 Wheeler Diner in Sallisaw for a hearty breakfast before hitting the road! Would definitely stay here again.
