You are greeted at theThe Lowry hotel by a door man BUT don't let that make you feel uncomfortable - these are ordinary people just like you and I ie cheerful and helpful, NO edge to them!!
Some 5 Star hotels look down on their customers but NOT here!!
The Lowry is in a perfect City location - park your car, in the Hotel carpark which I thought was reasonably priced(in comparison) and there was no pressure to move it once we were checked out - which is a very nice gesture on their part - and walk to everywhere from here.
We didn't pay for the watewrside view I honestly didn't think it worth it - meaning Manchester isn't the prettiest of cities and I didn't regret that!!
Also, we didn't have breakfast included in the rate we paid- which I also didn't regret - as we enjoyed a lovely undisturbed lye in ie I'm a light sleeper and usually hear the staff starting their cleaning rounds with the trolley up and down the corridor - but 'not' here =GREAT!!!!!
PLUS!!! check out wasn't until 12pm, so we enjoyed a lovely cuppa in bed instead - just totally relaxed!!
I also liked the 'turn down' service - when the lady knocked to do this, I was in the shower and we asked that she come back later which she did and made a VERY nice job of it!!
The Lowry has a lovely 'WOW' feel to it and you do get an enjoyable buzz from being there!!!
I booked this hotel for myself and father to stay in whilst seeing Peter Kay at the Manchester Arena. I read good reviews and was not disappointed.
After a 5 hour drive we were greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable, had plenty of tea/coffee and a very plush bathroom. Food was excellent in the bar as we had a quick meal before the performance. Breakfast was also superb, lovely freshly cooked full English, large pot of coffee and a large array of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals etc.
The Arena was a 10-15 minute easy walk from the hotel.
I couldn't really fault it in any way. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it highly to others.
Stayed 5 nights whilst working in centre of Manchester. Hiotel is well located within easy walking distance of the Arndale centre and the Arena.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rook functional, but clean and tidy. Shower worked well. Breakfast & evening were
.well cooked. Evening meals were
