“Definitely Shouldn't Have a Four Star Rating”

A disappointment from turning into the street. Not particularly in a good area. Has it's own car park, chargeable. A rip off considering there aren't any other workable options on where to park. Booking in process was a farce, had to find receptionist, when found she was lacking in any relevant info on the hotel. Lacking in both professionalism and conversation. No amenities were explained. Found my room, very small, but clean and tidy. Wanted to use wi-fi connection. A notice said contact reception, I did. Wi-fi is chargeable either hourly or 4 hourly, other lower graded hotels offer this service for free. Reception print a voucher and give you a code to put in your PC, quite inconvenient really. Sleep was OK, option of hard or soft pillows. Noisy in the morning though from about 6.30 when deliveries turned up. On checking out, the same receptionist was on duty, she tried to charge me again for the stay although it had already been pre-paid. The whole place lacked warmth and the quality of service was very poor. The worst 4 star experience I've had.

“Very good stay”

We arrived in Salford and saw the surrounding area & thought it strange they built a Holiday Inn in the middle of an industrial estate. However, the hotel itself was very clean and well run. The room was excellent, a little small, but all there and had an air conditioner - a rarity in the UK. We did not eat in the hotel, breakfast was an expensive extra, so we ate out. The area was not as bad as I had thought and we walked into Manchester city centre just under a mile away, had a meal and caught a show and walked back around midnight - no problems. You have to pay extra for parking, I assume to assist in paying for the abundance of cameras and the security gate. I was a little annoyed by this, but you have little choice. Other reviews I read spoke about problems with a lack of parking spaces, but on the two nights we were there it wasn't an issue with plenty of spaces left at 11pm. We paid very little considering the standard of accomodation & we would stay there again.

“Very Good”

This hotel was easy to find, the staff were very polite and helpful. Our room was both clean and well maintained,there were extras such as an iron, ironing board and hairdryer, good quality shower gel and soap. I notice on other reviews it was said that a charge was made for car parking, this was not charged in our case. I would certainly be happy to stay in the hotel again.

“Bon Jovi concert Old Traffod cricket ground”

Hotel Staff got flustered on arrival and did not recieve all information. eg bar times, check out etc. Had to ask another member of staff. hotel good if you just want to put your head down for the night.

“Friendly place with a "holiday" mood”

The staff were friendly and efficient. We planned to explore Arndale Centre after checking in but was fortunately informed by the receptionist that it was close. He gave us direction to another shopping mall, Trafford Centre. It saved us a lot of driving and shopping time. The hotel threw a surpise function to get to know the guest better and we enjoyed the interaction very much, so much so that we did not sufficiently sample the delicious food spread. While the location was near the motorway and easy to locate, it's location among several industrial buildings was perhaps the only drawback.

“clean but quite far out .”

Hotel was lovely very clean and the staff were very helpful and freindly. Room was small but adequate. The only down side was that it was quite far away away from the trafford centre. It is however close to the old trafford football ground (a 15 min walk). I had an enjoyable stay!!

“Don't Go--You Won't Be Able to Find It Anyway”

Hard to find, despite calling them several times for directions. It's listed as a 4-star but should only be a 3-star. Room was very small and couch was dirty with a stain. Would strongly discourage anyone from using this hotel.

“Friendly Comfortable Hotel”

Greeted with a smile by all of the employees on arrival and departure. Very good comfortable room which was immaculate. Despite a short taxi ride being required, I would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel next time I am in Manchester.

All around great hotel staff was brilliant! would stay again.
