The strength of any hotel is the staff , all were exceptional ! Front desk to the maid ! Friendly , knowledgable, multi lingu Manc masters of multi tasking enjoyed a very comfortable stay after a long and stressful journey . Breakfast was exceptional great quality and big selection , great value too. Lovely historic hotel with outstanding views of the harbour.

This is a gracious hotel built in the late 1800s. It is being kept neat, clean but perhaps not as totally polished as it once was. It is begging for the beautiful bar area to be re-opened; what an opportunity for style an comfort. The lack of a dinner restaurant (there are hundreds nearby) is partially made up for the nicest, most gracious, complete breakfast we had in Italy -- and the enjoyment of this was augmented considerably by the kind gentleman who provided coffee to your liking. The breakfast was worth the cost of the room which was vast and looked directly over the harbor.

The hotel has olde world charm. The rooms were very large with high ceilings, beautiful casement windows and big bathrooms. The staff was very warm and professional. They also helped me get a taxi at 4:30 am to get to an early flight at Brindisi Airport. The area is so beautiful and quiet with many good restaurants just steps away. I wish I had been able to stay longer but I enjoyed my day there very much and I’ll definitely be back!

Great Location and this hotel was definitely Grand in its day. Needs some TLC. It’s tired and a bit battered. Lovely staff and good breakfast made up for that.

Grand old hotel. Amazing staff- super friendly and helpful. Friday / Saturday night on the boardwalk are wonderful If you’re lucky you can snag a parking spot right out the front of the hotel :)

Great location and should be a great old world hotel. Our experience was a very disappointing one as the non-functioning air conditioner was dripping from the ceiling causing both wetness and bad odor. Apparently this continuous dripping and non-functioning couldn’t be fixed and apparently there were no other rooms available so a couple of brutally hot August nights made our brief stay in Brindisi very memorable for all the wrong reasons

NO AIR-CONDITIONING
I purposely booked Grande Albergo in Brindisi for its air-conditioning because Puglia had been extraordinarily hot.When we arrived, the air conditioning supposedly was broken... For 2 days we were promised it would be fixed. IT WAS NOT. it was very uncomfortable and the staff was full of excuses and empty promises. I complained and asked for a partial refund which was refused. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with the hotel and would never recommend it.

Very Disappointed, good position, but poor service
On arrival, the position of the hotel and view was spectacular. We went to reception and waited for 10 minutes or so and nobody came. I went to look for some one and found a man and lady talking loudly (arguing) in a little room behind what looked like the bar. The woman came to reception and proceeded to book us in. My wife asked if we could book a table in the restaurant for our evening meal. She said there wasn't a restaurant. We then asked if we could have a coffee in the lounge. She said there was no coffee or tea making facilities. We asked if there was tea/coffee making in the room, no was the answer. The room was adequate but tired. The carpet was stained and dusty around the edges. There was dust on the bedside tables and dirty window frames. The bed was big but very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom was OK but needed a good clean. The shower door frame didn't fit very well and was corroded and the shower head rail was very loose on the wall. The grouting and sealant around the tiles in the shower was mouldy. The bottom of the radiator was also rusty. Breakfast was also very poor, nothing like the website pictures. Bread for toast, cold boiled eggs, 2 types of cake , jam and honey, Yogurt, tea and coffee. A selection of fruit. We were both very disappointed with the GRANDE ALBERGO INTERNAZIONALE. It is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and the best in Brindisi. It is just a GLORIFIED BED and BREAKFAST with a very nice view. I would not recommend this hotel at all.

Good night's stay in Brindisi
One night stay in a single room on the second floor. Great location and a lovely old building with bags of character, albeit a hotel which has probably seen slightly better days. Staff excellent throughout and my room was spotlessly clean if a little basic. Buffet style breakfast was great and WIFI free and fast. €20 in a cab from the airport. Parts of the hotel are looking tired and in need of a refurb, but for reasonably priced accommodation located conveniently for the centre of Brindisi, the hotel really can't be faulted. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is in a great setting in brindisi although the interior could do with updating. Also the maid kept insisting on leaving just one towel when there was two of us so kept having to ask for another. Would stay again though for the setting and the convenience

The rooms with a view are beautiful. Clean with two large windows opening to the sea. Highly recommended. The lobby is gorgeous. Parking is very easy, you just need to look at the email or call the hotel prior to arrival for the address that will bring you there. The GPS doesn't take you to the front of the hotel.
