“HJ in Salem”

There is nothing fancy but everything was clean and tidy. People were nice.

“Good Place to Stay”

Very nice for the price. Good customer service. Nice people run it. Easy to find from the I-5. Decent breakfast offerings unless you prefer a larger full type meal. We liked the place and will definitely stay there again.

“Very pleased”

I was very happy with the hotel, especially with the price I got with Expedia. I really expected a bare bones room but it was very comfortable with all of the amenities you would expect at a nice hotel.

“Clean and well run”

Very clean and well run for the inexpensive price. Good security on the grounds, in-room safe and a nice breakfast offering that included waffles.

“Not that impressed”

For just needing a room for the night this place works. But when you walked up to the building it smelled horrible like cats had been spraying outside. Also there was a spider in the bed and that was gross. The breakfast room is very small but the food was good none the less. It doesn't have a heated pool and and the pool area was kinda dirty but you could tell had been sprayed down. All in all I think if you are looking for a place to stay you can probably find somewhere better but if you just need to be done driving or need a place to stay for a night and nothing else is available then it works.

Area recommendations
Don't really know the area but we also stayed at the Red Lion in Salem. I would reccommend that hotel over this one.

“Great Value”

Very Clean, and very good service, excellent price for a quality hotel! Would definately stay again. Adequate free breakfast, not many others frills, but everything you need to rest for the night.

“Salem trip”

The room was adequate. The shower looked like it had not been cleaned and the TV remote had a weak battery that made turning on the TV or changing channels hard. When we first tried to enter the room, the key was not magnitized properly and would not work. Other than that, the room was OK. We slept well and getting around from this location was easy.
