Pros: Beautiful hotel. Amazing, friendly, generous staff. Great spa, restaurant and wine tasting. A true find!! Will definitely come back here! Only small con: rooms not soundproof (had kids above us) and could use more lighting (a little dark)

We made this selection last minute for our final night in Spain and it was fabulous. Our only regret is that we could not have stayed longer. The property is beautiful and rich with history. The setting is so tranquil and was just what we needed to decompress from a three week driving vacation through Spain, Morocco and Portugal. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Hotel

We spent a lovely tranquil weekend at Zorita. Staff was super nice, the place has an interesting history. Wine tasting was a nice touch, breakfast was also good! Rooms are big and spacious. The bed and pillows a bit soft for my liking but thats a personal thing. We went during winter, would like to see it in the summer ;)

They are no Pet Frendy. They prohibit the Pets inside the facilities but outside is impossible. To mucho cool and they no have heaters. The food regular to bad.

The Stay was amazing. The property is impeccable, beautifully furnished and well maintained. The gardens and the views are breathtaking. The staff are very friendly and sweet and professional. We will come back one day and hope to be able to enjoy the spa as we did not have time to book for it. The breakfast was tasty! the food is nice and the wine is delicious. Beautiful place 25 min drive from Salamanka. Wonderful vinery and hotel in idilyc setting of former monastery on a shore of the river amoung vines. Nice spa. Unmatch histlric grounds. Unheated pool probably refreshing during summer heat.

Enquire before you book!
Great hotel in a wonderful location, could have been the perfect stay for peace and tranquillity, and excellent wine....but no! The hotel had a large wedding reception, with guests arriving by the bus load from out side; these very happy singing guests departed from 00.30 to 05.30, walking past our bedroom. Tried to call reception...no answer! The hotel’s solution...a free bottle of wine! When booking this hotel ask about ‘party events’ on st the same time.

Satisfying and restful getaway.
Our stay at Hacienda Zorita was the dream we wanted it to be. From the moment we arrived careful attention was paid to us, and the staff was exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. The property is beautiful, secluded and quiet with thoughtful amenities. The Concordia meal was a delight, with exquisite flavors that matched the exquisite wines. We met travelers and wine lovers from around the world and had a fabulous anniversary weekend.

Beautiful, but not a gourmet retreat
Positives: Beautiful location, easy to find from Salamanca, check-in fine, friendly reception staff, stunning room with terrace overlooking canal and friendly barman for evening cocktails. Negatives: Photos of two outdoor pools on various websites (including this one) were clearly shot with a wide angle lense - they were tiny and certainly not suitable for swimming, but fine for a refreshing dip [For any swimmers, there is an excellent outdoor municipal pool in nearby Valverdon - 1 km away]. Food and drink was a little disappointing: although the service and some sampling menu dishes were adequate, some dishes lacked flavour and creativity. Also, considering that there is an extensive cellar, the wine that was offered to us as part of a sampling menu (as well as free-of-charge in the room) was also a little disappointing. That said, the venue is stunning and I'd consider a return given its proximity (15 minutes drive) to Salamanca and rural setting (river walks possible in the nearby national parkland).

We enjoyed a very relaxing night with some lovely (and very good value) wine and fresh local food. We're looking forward to the excuse to come back.

Enjoyable experience
The hotel is a special experience because of it's historical heritage. The room could have done with a little TLC in places due to general wear and tear. The staff where very welcoming and attentive during our entire stay. The restaurant degustation menu was excellent if a little rich at times for our taste. We will certainly be staying again when breaking our trip from Faro.

Think Twice or Pay Twice
1) The bed was hard as a rock 2) Temperature control was awful (too hot) 3) The room smelled like raw sewage from one of the bathroom fixtures 4) The geese woke us up at 5:00 am and wouldn't shut up 5) Food OK but overpriced 6) When I cancelled the following night's stay at 10:00 am (the romance had gone) I was told that wasn't possible, even though there was no written policy. Nice setting but times must be getting tough .

Lovely hotel with nice staff, however communication was a little difficult with some staff as their English was not great. Got a bit lost as the address is not Salamanca but Valverdon and then the address in the nav sat took us further away.

Hacienda Zorita: spectacular wines and hotel
This restored old convent is now a superb winery and magnificent hotel. The rooms are spacious and have expansive verandas facing the river beside. The rooms come with a free bottle of wine and each room has a small wine chest. The wine tasting room is quite beautiful, full of aging wine in barrels. The restaurants are gems, with wonderful meals that have slight overtones of molecular cuisine. It is not too easy to find, but once you're there, 15 minutes from Salamanca, you're in heaven.

DECEPCIONANTE
Achei a experiencia bastante decepcionado, especialmente por ser propor a ser hotel “luxury”e inclusive ter esses selos, mas a experiencia foi de um hotel 2 estrelas. O check in tivemos que fazer ëm pé”com zero de conforto e privacidade., não foi oferecido uma água, um vinho ou qualquer outra coisa. No quarto há uma necessidade de reparos, também não deixaram nem uma água, nem um mimo, nem um cartão, e nem ao mesmo a limpeza noturna foi feita. Fizemos a “cata de vinho”e a experiencia que poderia ser incrível, eles ofereceram 2 vinhos, sem nenhuma água. Dirigimos 4:30 para conhecer o hotel e ter uma experiencia fantástica, e foi muito decepcionante. Dirigimos de volta mais 4:30 falando do impacto da experiencia negativa do hotel.
