“Great views- swanky”

Beautiful views. I loved the cuch on the balcony for late night reading. The staff were vry nice, most spoke English. I spent much time at the pool. The spa was pretty, the pedicure was a bit awkward- on a massage table rather than recliner, but it was fine. Great food. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Very peaceful and romantic.

Area recommendations
They have a shuttle running every couple hours to the town of ste maxine- take it! A taxi costs 30 euro! I took a boat to st tropez for 10 euro round trip- an absolute steal. The hotel is on top of a hill i dont think there is anything around there and i couldnt do the trek up or down that large hill. I went there to relax so one day i didnt leave the resort grounds at all and was perfectly content with that. The days i went to ste maxine had great shopping.
Shopping
Great shoe shopping at decent prices at near where the shuttle drops off. The girl running the store is british and very helpful. I bought 3 gorgeous pairs. It shows up on my credit card statement as NJC UNIVERSAL DRAGUIGNAN but I dont know if thats what its called. 2 door down from the Nautica restraunt.

“Just don't expect any service”

One of the most beautiful sites on the Riveiera made our stay worthwhile. Stunning views out over a golf course to the Mediterranean beyond. About 3 miles from the coast though. Easy to find your way from the hotel to St Maxime, but hard to find you way back, especially at night. About 20 minutes from St. Tropez. No pool service on Monday and Tues *(we wre there in mid Sept). The bar wqs open only from 730-1030P but when we went in there was no bartender to be found and no guests there!

Area recommendations
If you play golf or want a very quiet, beautiful setting, then this is the place for you. If you want beach then consider St Raphael (not St. Tropez).

“The location is really good. Up above the main tourist drag with a beautiful view to the sea.”

A peaceful and relaxed place. The room was a good size with a lovely balcony and a great view over the golf course to the sea. The pool was great, although no towels for an early swim. The restaurant was ok - fixed menu, which was great the first night and not so good the second. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Area recommendations
Loved the market area because there were lots of interesting stalls and surrounding shops. The Bandol winery area was lovely although it would be helpful to have more tourist information places where there were parking spots!!
When to go
The south of France is extremely busy in August and every evening we experienced long traffic queues into Ste Maxime.

“Never again”

Probably 40 years ago it was a decent hotel. We all have changed over past 40 years, but the hotel did not.

“Not worth the price!”

Management was extremely unhelpful, when requesting a move to another room because a/c did not work. Then the deadbolt and phone did not work in the following room. They seemed put off in rectifying the situation. Listed as a Four Star Hotel, but I wouldn't even give it a Two!

“Beautiful location, great food, great views and great service”

The check in and welcome was excellent, food was truly provencal extremely well presented and very tasty. Every room has sea view and views of the golf courses, Great tennis court too. I'll defintely go back and recommend to my friends, also really great place for company seminar which was our principal reason for being there. The spa is a wonderfuly relaxing place with very experienced and welcoming staff, and the indoor heated pool is so peaceful.

Traveller's tip
10 minutes shuttle or drive to Ste Maxime Port and take the ferry from St Maxime to St Tropez for 12 Euros which is much better than driving.

“Hotel agréable”

Hotel agréable avec piscine interieure et exterieure, spa et vue magnifique sur la baie de ste maxime. les chambres ne sont pas trés grande mais dispose d'une terrasse.

“Hotel qui devrait être un trois étoile et non un quatre !!! au calme absolu”

Cet hôtel devrait prendre conscience qui n'a plus rien d'un quatre étoile, en effet aucun acceuil à l'arrivée si ce n'est de vous donner les cléfs de votre chambre et l'étage de cette dernère. Les chambres sont un peu petite mais le nécessaire y est. Sauf la télé miniscule. Les serviettes ne sont pas changées chaque jour et le ménage laisse à désirer. Aucun service en chambre proposé pour boire un verre. Un mini bar à disposition très sommaire et aucun prix des consommations. Cet hotel est au calme absolu, donc par conséquent un peu loin du centre (environ 5 km).

“Belle situation, forcément parfait pour les golfeurs !”

Nous avons été très satisfaits de l'emplacement de l'hôtel, et de sa très luxueuse réception, mais nous avons été déçus par la chambre. Moquette défraichie, mini bar vide et en panne, et pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, nous avons été surpris que les toilettes soient situées dans la salle de bains.

“Trop cher pour ce que c'est”

Malgré une situation et une vue splendide sur les environs: il surplombe la ville avec vue sur le golf et la mer , cet hôtel qui fait partie d'une chaine est très impersonnel, les chambres ne sont pas plus attrayantes et confortables que dans un Ibis, mobilier style ikéa, La décoration est donc vraiment quelconque, les bâtiments assez laids. Quelques jolis endroits, les terrasses, les piscines mais sans âme, Pas de service attrayants le soir par exemple, pas de bars ouverts, de petits salons conviviaux. Impossible par exemple de trouver des cigarettes...Le restaurant est aussi assez bas de gamme...Pour le tout, c'est un peu l'usine.On paye donc très cher la situation mais le service est a minima. La sensation d'être dans un hôtel de luxe n'y est donc pas. Le "romantisme annoncé, non plus...
