My family likes this hotel very much, especially my kids... it's their most favorite one compared with all hotels we had stayed during the past years' family trip. Because our tight trip plan, we could only stay there for 2 nights, otherwise, we'd definitely stay at there for few more nights.
We went to St John to see the reversing falls. The Chateau St John was a home run. It is just 5 years old and beautifully appointed. It is located near both the falls and downtown. The very helpful staff recommended a great little Irish pub downtown that had great chowder and fish and chips. We were sorry to spend just one night there.

We stayed for 1 night before taking the ferry.
The hotel is off and away by itself, but there are amenities not far (walking distance - pizza, pita, Sobeys, Urban Planet, Walmart). The room is a good size with comfortable beds and pillows. There was a clear flat screen tv, coffee maker, DVD player and bar fridge. Both the room and bathroom were very clean.
The check in staff was friendly and welcoming and the check out staff was also friendly and helpful when trying to get a cab. There is a free telephone in the lobby and a computer area. The continental breakfast in the morning is basic (2 cereals, eggs and sausage, juice, milk, coffee, yogurt and toast/muffins/bagels), but we don't need more than that. The breads were fresh and easy to toast.
Overall, we were very pleased with the hotel and the staff truly complimented the nice facility.
