I picked the hotel because of its location and price. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the wifi worked, the room was clean, and the location was great. Despite being right across from the main St. Jean train station, it was quiet and seemed very safe, with a nice secluded patio in the back. Full breakfast available for an extra charge, but most days I got a continental breakfast at shops in the train station. Best bonus: the Jetbus goes from the airport directly to the train station, which was convenient and very inexpensive. Definitely recommend it to others.

Stayed here for a couple of nights. Hotel is right across the road from the train station - also the airport bus stop. Although slightly far from the city centre, the tram is also right outside and only takes a few minutes to get there. Hotel itself is comfortable and the rooms are very nicely decorated, modern bathroom, kettle and Nespresso machine. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had the express breakfast for 7 euros which was lovely, but buffet had what looked like a very nice selection if you have a bigger appetite.
We had a fairly ordinary experience with this hotel. We arrived mid way through their renovations and our floor was a complete building site. The workmen started at 630am outside our rooms so we had a very early start to our day. I would have thought they either would have blocked out that floor for occupation that weekend, or at least given us a reduced rate.
The hotel itself is fine, I just think it's overpriced for what it is. The rooms were incomplete (we booked 2 rooms for 2 couples) but they had obviously set them up for single use only. As it was late when we arrived there wasn't a lot of help available. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel itself, I just feel you could do better cheaper and I think they should have done a bit more thinking about how they allocated the rooms given the work.....just disappointing.

Recently modernised hotel. Very close to the railway station and in a quiet street. Room was simple but clean and well supplied with tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was a good buffet with a range of options. I couldn't fault the stay and would stay there again.
This hotel was an absolute gem! It's proximity to the car hire drop off and station swayed us to book, along with reviews about the friendliness of the staff and general positive comments about the hotel.
The area does appear a little off-putting and the red and white tape barring entry through the main doors (hence the 4/5 for condition and upkeep!) contributed to that perception. However, once inside everything is as good as you could want it to be. The reception area is bright, tidy and clean and the multi-lingual staff an absolute delight. In the morning Ludovic, who had taken over on reception, gave me a pot of hot water, cups, milk etc all served on a tray in response to me wandering down tea bag in hand AND he declined any payment!
Bedroom and bathroom was spotless and comfortable.
We took the receptionists advice and caught the tram into the centre to eat in the evening. Sat in one of the many squares with an aperitif, had a fabulous meal, then wandered back along the main street directly to the hotel. I really don't think the area is any better or worse than you'd find around the centre and station in many large cities.
Breakfast was fantastic. Everywhere spotless with the staff constantly overseeing and topping up supplies.
In terms of cleanliness, comfort, staff friendliness and facilities - there's even a bar area next to reception where you can get drinks and light meals, I really don't believe you could get better value for money. Highly recommend!
We stayed in a 4-person family room on 3rd floor. We had checked previously that our 3rd child could stay as well. They did not provide an extra bed but lots of other places I had contacted wouldn't allow a 5th person at all. For the price it was perfect for us, just what we needed for an overnight stay. Two large interconnecting rooms with double beds, a dining area and kitchen corner, large bathroom with shower. Windows to the rear overlooking a courtyard, very quiet. Staff at reception were helpful and friendly. The area isn't great, maybe not suited for single female travellers, but we walked into the city centre and back, back by 10pm, no problems and really enjoyed our stay. 5 mins walk to train station handy for catching the airport bus, also Tram stop ca. 2 mins walk away. Some of the decor is maybe a bit tired and the shower curtain wasn't long enough, but generally the room had a nice feel. We would definitely stay at Teneo again, actually we were sorry we hadn't booked for two nights as Bordeaux is such a nice city.
This is a no frills budget hotel that provides you with exactly what you need. A clean bed to sleep in and a great little breakfast. The staff were great and even though their English wasn't good, they were charming and ALWAYS willing to help. Take it from me, if you book this hotel, you will have no problems with enjoying your stay in Bordeaux :):):)
