We absolutely loved our stay at Ramada Rotorua. The staff were super friendly, our room was extremely clean, there was a lot of activities for our children to do on sight and we especially loved the amazing staff at the restaurant- they went above and beyond for us. We can’t wait to come back! Great for children of all ages and all round amazing place to be. Thank you Ramada staff! 😊

The area is great. However, the rooms are outdated, smell, and the upstairs (where you sleep) doesn’t have AC.

are super annoying .. Check out is at 10 in the morning and you start getting hit at 8 in the morning to leave and at 9 in the morning you are called to the room for ..so you remember that the chekout is at 10am. This never happened anywhere in the world and we have 35 years traveling. it hurts that they have the name of the chain Ramada .Terrible

It'd have been a great stay with 5-star rating if not for the following issues: - Venetian blinds used in bedrooms didn't block light - the rooms were bright light early in the morning. Proper curtains or blinds should have been used. - It's hot upstairs but there's only one portable fan. There should have been 2 fans or aircond - Quite average bedding. Other than those issues, it's a great property

Our stay was fantastic, comfortable beds, great restaurant with beautiful food. Very friendly staff, great tennis court, pool and spa. When we walked into the property we were instantly impressed. Such a beautiful view out onto the canal with ducks swimming around. Clean, well equiped property with everything we needed. Was a little away from the city centre but wasn’t a bother as we had a hire car and was also great because we avoided the Sulfur smell. I would absolutely recommend these appartments.

Absolutely lovely - felt like coming home. This was a perfect paradise. Looking out the window to see horses on one side, and a canal with beautiful black swans on another side was truly a treat. It was flawless - kitchen, bedrooms, deck, parking. Quiet area.

Our go-to NZ break away.
We love this resort and it is our go-to NZ break away. The team are friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and the resort is in a lovely quiet area, not too far from Rotorua. The two-bedroom apartment we had has a comfy lounge with coffee table, TV and video; a dining table and chairs; and also a outdoor area with table and chairs to look over the water-ways. The kitchen has full-sized fridge / freezer, oven, cooktop, the necessary equipment for cooking, plus a dishwasher. The bathroom contains a walk-in shower, toilet, hand basin, and a washer and dryer. Despite the rain, we also enjoyed using the spa by the outdoor pool. The only improvements we can think of are a shared herb gaden and a free EV charging facility.

Such a lovely peaceful location, located on a waterway with ducks and swans. Need transport to go to local sights. Nice staff helpful, it’s like a peaceful quiet retreat from our usual hectic lives. The rooms are very spacious.

Stayed at 3 bedroom cottage. It was wonderful. The cottage was located by the lake, so you can get overlooking the lake without any blocking. The room was as new (probably renovated not long ago?) It was very good stay. Only one negative is a bit of drive from Rotorua town Centre, but because of that you can get superb lake view.

Great location, helpful staff, family friendly, well presented self-contained apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Right on the lake with parking at the door, outdoor heated pool and restaurant with reasonably priced meals.

Its hard to rate this property overall but the most negative aspect is that its grossly overpriced. The property is rundown, in need of a major makeover especially for the amount we paid per night. No aircon upstairs made a very uncomfortable nights sleep in the heat. Our room was not serviced for over $500 per night, you need to ask for extra amenities. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Pool and tennis court were great. We had intentions of kayaking and fishing as mentioned online but no activities were mentioned on arrival and didnt look ideal in the area so we didnt pursue. Had everything you need for a good stay of washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, full fridge etc. Positives were certainly the friendly staff, pool and tennis court. Would still recommend this property just at a reduced rate.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The grounds are really nice and well kept. The unit itself was disappointing. The deco is dated. The cleanliness is 2 out of 10. Walls and ceilings are all scratched, patched. All metal surfaces are covered in rust. Carpet and upholstery are stained. Furniture is too bulky for the size of the apartments. Only news and sports channels are available on SkyTV. Kitchen supplies are very limited: only one set of dining plates, so if you have cooked breakfast, you have no dishes left for dinner, so have to run dishwasher at least twice a day. At the same time, washing powder packets are only supplied one per day. Same with toilet paper, tissues, etc. Very limited supply, barely enough for your stay. You can go and ask for extra at the reception but it's annoying and for the price you're paying, you can be provided with extra toilet paper roll. Will not be coming back. This particular accommodation is not up to Ramada standards at all.
