“Best Boutique Hotel in Rothenberg”
We stayed at Villa Mittermeier on our drive down the Romantic Road. We were also in Rothenberg to see the Xmas markets. We have 2 girls aged 9 and 6. The accommodation was excellent. Large enough for the 4 of us in one room. Chess board in room and claw-foot bath which the girls loved. Although Villa Mittermeier is known for its Michelin star restaurant, we didn't dine there. The Xmas markets are a 5 minute walk away, so we grabbed a bratwurst there while walking around soaking in the Xmas cheer. Although hotel was ok with our girls who are 9 and 6, I wouldn't recommend this hotel if u have very young children and/or active children. Enjoy!
“Excellent”
Stayed for 2 nights, The hotel is very clean we had one of the smaller rooms but was ideal for our short stay the only bad point is that the double bed is against the wall to make more space which could be a problem for somebody less mobile. They have a coffee machine in each room and also supply shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was first class a great choice and service stops at 11.00. There is a lovely looking restaurant downstairs which we did not know about until we checked out, would of liked to have tried it. I would definitely stay at his hotel again. 10/10
“Great little hotel”
We loved this place! The rooms were small, but very tastefully decorated. The only thing missing was A/C, but windows opened widely and provided good ventilation. Breakfast buffet (included with room) was very nice and typical of what we saw in Germany. As a bonus, the kitchen was doing custom breakfast orders for some customers. Restaruant was creatively and tastefully decorated and that added to our enjoyment. We did not try the gourmat dining in the restaruant as it was out of our budget (but looked interested and smelled delicious)
“Just use their restaurants”
Villa Mittermeier has 2 excellent restaurants well worth a visit but the bedrooms are wood floored (ie no carpets) with antique TVs, unstocked minibar and minimal service. The rooms in the roof are particularly spartan and the staircases long and perilous. If you like a basic, country style of hotel its OK but if you want the level of comfort the price suggests I would try somewhere else.
“Visit Aug 2009”
The Hotel proprietor is nice. We stayed in the family suite. The room was clean but room was so-so overall. The hotel has no Air-Conditioning. So if you are travelling in the summer, you'll have to deal with that. Plus the mattresses were not comfortable, seemed to be sinking into the bed. The breakfast is ok, but they don't serve well and do not offer options like in the US.
“Nice ambience/close to attractions”
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Our room was a charming room with a maritime theme. Great breakfirst buffet.

Ein sehr tolles renoviertes Hotel und mit Liebe zum Details. Unser Zimmer war ein bisschen klein aber nett. Das Restaurant im Keller war eindeutig das Beste in Rothenburg!
“informale”
Piccola struttura in posizione assai comoda al centro storico. Nasce come ristorante di buon nome, al quale nel tempo hanno affiancato quest'altra attività. Molto valida la prima colazione. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Piccolo il parcheggio a disposizione. nel complesso, comunque, una buona esperienza.
