“Perfect location”

The hotel is in the Market Square of the old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, right opposite the town hall. And at this time of the year the square is full of Christmas Market stalls, Christmas tree and decorations so even more beautiful. Hotel reception is in the restaurant, given our key and all the information we needed but did not have to sign in, show ID, unusual for Germany. As the hotel is old there are no lifts so had to carry luggage up 2 flights of stairs, but we expected this so not a problem. There is a back entrance to the hotel once the restaurant is closed and you are given a key to this along with your room key. Room was a good size, it's obvious the bathroom has been added into the room as it is in the middle of a wall but this meant the 2nd window could be retained sp there is ample light and an extra area to put suitcases. Bonus for us was a 'real' double bed, not 2 singles pushed together. You are in walking distance of everywhere in the old town and there are more than enough cafes and restaurants to chose from. Only downside was when we were leaving. We had paid through Expedia but were advised that was only a holding fee, we needed to pay the rest. Advised that we had paid in full, he advised not at this hotel, did I have my proof from Expedia. Got out computer to check what my booking said, meanwhile the man we were dealing with was on the phone, called over that it was ok, no apology or explanation. Not well handled.

“charming hotel in marketplatz rothenburg”

building was constructed in 1200, rooms are clean and neat, comfortable, and location is exceptional, right in the heart of the marketplatz. staff is helpful, kept our luggage for several hours while we continued sightseeing. this is not a fancy ramada hotel, but most satisfactory for a short stay in this wonderful historic city. breakfast was ample. would stay here again, and would definitely recommend to others.

Hotel in bester Lage. Zimmer und Bad war extrem eng. Bad ist nur für schlanke Leute zu empfehlen. Zimmer sind sehr einfach eingerichtet. Küchengeruch im Treppenhaus sollte nicht stören. Frühstück war einfach aber gut. Kellner war sehr freundlich. Für den günstigen Preis war es OK.
