It has to be the best hotel in Warnemünde. Has a great location, the staff is really friendly and do their best to understand english. The only complaint I have is that for some reason an awful smell was coming from the shower drain. They sent a technician to fix it but it reappeared the next day.
The hotel location was excellent, next to the university and within a minute's walk to the main plaza and Rathaus.
All amenities available like hairdryer, toiletries. Good and plentiful breakfast.
Would have loved to stay a little longer to enjoy more of Rostock and the surroundings.
"Very nice hotel, but brace yourself for the noise!"
The hotel is right in the center of Rostock, across the street from the town hall and square, and about 100 yards from one end of a long shopping street (like Copenhagen's Strøget). The hotel, the room, the restaurant, and the staff all were very good. The hotel and room were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was great! The staff was capable and friendly in a reserved way. The restaurant was very good, as was the restaurant staff. The downside, though, was that it was *very* noisy. The town is very old, and the streets around the hotel are made of cobblestone, such that you can hear every car go by, whether or not your window is open. Also, we heard lots of people talking on the street, and perhaps because we were there on a Saturday night, it was especially noisy. The fact of the noise erased much of the positives of the hotel. It's not the hotel's fault, but it is a fact.
Comfortable & relaxing hotel in every way. Staff very willing to help with unforseen travel disruption and phoning on our behalf. Less stress for us trying to communicate. Would return if we were in the area again
Through its eight centuries, this Hanseatic city has been the commercial and trading hub of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. Rostock’s old town has an impressive harbour, historic city walls and waterfront gabled houses. There is also as an interesting art gallery, several theatres and some quality museums. The Hanse Sail boating event attracts over a million visitors for three days in summer. Twenty kilometres north is the beach resort of Warnemünde.
