During the renovation of the guest house that has created a series of small apartments, designer Anna Fendi Venturini has been able to impress her with his creativity authentic sense of playful fun and cheerful and thoughtful way of "doing home" around guests with extreme attention to their needs. All Villa Laetitia brings joy and tranquility in a magical silence in the green of this island at the center of Rome, a crossroads for artists, collectors, designers and people from all over the world.

“The BEST place for a Roman Holiday”
The Villa Laetitia was the perfect place for our Roman Holiday! The location was close by to a metro station and secluded enough not to be awoken by the sounds of the city. It’s also next to the Tiber River, so it was only a 20 minute walk along the river to the Vatican. Our room was very clean. Towels, robes, and sheets were replaced daily. The AC was soothing cool after a hot day. The staff (especially Eva!) was very helpful and made wonderful suggestions for restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood. The villa also had guest umbrellas in the lobby, which saved us from the intense July sun while walking around ancient Rome.
“Beautiful Rome”
The apartment was some distance from the centre of the city, but we felt that the opportunity to stay in a boutique hotel would more than compensate for the extra 15 minute walk to the nearest metro or Piazza Popolo. Check in staff were lovely and helped us to our room after taking our order for breakfast. The room was described as Superior but turned out to be rather cramped and somewhat cell-like. This sense of enclosure was all the more evident in the morning, the room faced northwest and despite the blue sky outside, little of Rome's beautiful light found its way into the room. There was no view from either window except for the apartments next door or from the other aspect, scaffolding on another apartment some ten meters away. The perfume of the garden was delightful and distracted us from the meagre breakfast offered for not an insubstantial sum. The room was clean and quirkily decorated with an large ill-conceived drawing of a sullen young girl on one wall and an equally proportioned photographic portrait that we speculated was of Karl Lagerfeld, high above one window. Ultimately the room wasn't a place we wanted to spend much time, the idea of apartment style accommodation the opportunity to cook a meal for ourselves goes out of the narrow window, when the room is so unwelcoming. We loved Rome, an amazing city, the staff at the Villa were very friendly and communication with them via email prior to the visit was very good, but we wouldn't recommend the accommodation.
“highly recommend APRIL 2010”
The bedrooms are petite, but brilliantly organised - space utilised extremely well. The self catering facilities are great, every need within self catering limitations was thought of, although no microwave - don't really need it as there's a great fresh market, (mornings only) and supermarket 2 mins around the corner. Room service every day, the ladies were lovely, even with our attempts to communicate with our awful italian! Every member of staff, without exception were helpful and really nice to deal with; especially when we got caught in the whole volcano chaos. The location was beautiful, Lepanto metro is literally a 10 minute walk, and I don't walk that fast. It was nice to get out of the hectic city centre at the end of each day. We even walked home a couple of nights - Rome is extremely walkable. When you arrive there is two large grey solid gates and a very secure gate entry system, which makes you feel safe; go to the grey gate on the right, this is the one used when we stayed, and the buttons are mid-way down on the far left side of it. We had a wonderful stay and recommend it without hesitation.
“Miss the Food, Wine & Coffee!!!!”
Hotel was great. Not so much a Hotel as it is a boutique Villa, and that is what we wanted. We were upgraded for Free as there were only a few guests during this slow time of the year. The only thing that could be better is if it was a bit closer to more of the action but we did manage to find a lot of shops and restaurants on the same side of the river as we walked everywhere.
“If it's good enough for the Fendis...”
We had a great time at the Fendis' villa. It provided a great base from which to venture to the Corso, the Pincio or the Vatican. The villa was very quiet, the room quirky italian design and it was great to have access to an outdoor balcony. Local area provided great indoor food markets and shops to organise fun impromptu picnics when we didn't fancy dining out. Highlights of stay were walking over the Tiber to the Villa Borgese for the Caravagio - Bacon exhibition and seeing the apocaliptic end of St Peters' Square in the film 2012 in a local cinema off Plaza Del Popolo.
J'y retournerai certainement.
“Top-Adresse mitten in Rom!”
“Aufenthalt Rom, Villa Leititza”
