“Good Experience”
Did not get the room we expected, but they did correct the error. A small hotel, but very nice and the staff was very accomodating and friendly and helpful. The staff makes you feel very comfortable while you are there and are very willing to help you.
“cant wait to go back”
hotel saff were brilliant could not do enough for you spoke excellent english food great hotel was clean and very comfy worthy of its 4 stars thanks for a great stay hope to come back :)
“Terrific Trilussa Palace Hotel”
We recently spent 10 days in Rome staying at the Trilussa Palace Hotel. The hotel was delightful, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the location extremely convenient on the number 8 tram line. It was just far enough from downtown to be relaxing, and yet close enough to the hustle and bustle of Rome. We would highly recommend this four star hotel and will definitely stay there again. The hotel is small and intimite. There is a wonderful roof-top lounge with a lovely view of Rome. The full breakfast was very well presented in a nice setting and a great start to each day. The cheerful staff was very helpful with transportation and great local restaurant recommendations. We can't say enough about this wonderful hotel!
“Great stay in Rome”
Very nice staff!!! Make sure you use the Turkish steam in the shower...they had to show us and it is not obvious...but very pleasant to use once you understand it. Breakfast could be a little better...but otherwise a fabulous hotel.
“Fantastic Hotel, Excellant Location”
We spent 4 nights at the Trilussa Palace and throughly enjoyed our stay. People on reception were very welcoming, helpful and extremely polite during our stay. Roof top garden is nice and relaxing after a long day sightseeing. Transport system is great and good value for money. Tram stops right outside hotel and takes you to the centre of Rome, where you can catch buses to take you further across Rome (Vatican). Eating at the local restaurants 10 minutes walk from Hotel was best value for money and excellant fresh cooked food. Eating in the city centre is a little more expensive. Avoid restaurants close to Vatican, walk further afield if you can, was the only restaurant where we was overcharged by a huge amount for 4 bottles of fizzy drink, but then we only got ripped off the once so wasn't too bad. We travelled with out two young daughters (8 & 11) and would highly recommend this hotel. Would definately go back if visiting Rome.
“Perfecto!”
We spent a week at Trilussa for our 20th wedding anniversay and were completely satisfied with the quality of the hotel and the service of the staff. When we arrived at 1.30am, we were greeted with a nice welcome at reception. The reception staff explained how we could get to all the major sites around the city and also showed us where to go on a city map, explaining which tram or bus number we had to get - this was very very helpful. Our bags were taken up to the room by the porter and we were surprsied to receive a letter and a lovely bottle of champagne to celebrate our 20th anniversary on the hotel. Breakfast was heartiful and had an ample selection of choice. The roof top garden / bar was worth a visit either just before going out or on return for a nightcap. I used the gym once and the equipment is limited. We never used the Spa as this comes at an extra charge but all the same, the offer to use it is there. Our rooms were cleaned daily and there was a safe included for some added peace of mind. We had a balcony room that overlooked the main street. The street gets quite busy but this wasn't a problem as the balcony doors provided ample noise reduction. The hotel is well decorated with marble entrance floors and traditionally finished. Overall the staff porovided an outstanding service and dealt with any queries we had efficiently and professionally. If we return to Rome, I wouldn't look to go to another hotel as this one was perfect for us.
“Met all our expectations. Good value.”
The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They answered all our questions with accurate information and took the time to explain in details what to do and how to get there. Public transportation was right in front of the hotel making it convenient for us. The ride to the center of attractions took about 15 - 20 minutes and with clear directions from the hotel staff, we never got lost. There weren't many restaurants near the hotel where we could walk, but a very short bus ride from there. We bought the day pass that allowed us to use the public transportation all day long for something like 4 Euros. The hotel offered us a welcome Champagne cocktail at the rooftop were we got a good glimpse of the city. No views of the Colosseum or anything like that, but nice for the location. Best of all, they were very accommodating in getting us a ride to the Cruise terminal in Civitavecchia and from there to the airport when we got back. They saved us some money there because the cruise line wanted nearly 4 times more for the shuttle to the airport.
“Good Hotel for a short stay”
Convenient Hotel for viewing the tourist sites. Tram and bus stop just minutes from the Hotel. Road outside very noisy with traffic, late at night and early in the morning.
“Excellent choice”
I would highly recommend this hotel. We (self, husband and 15 yr son) stayed here for a week (July 2011). The reception staff were friendly and helpful (I reported a light not working and it was fixed straight away, we had problems contacting the company Consorzio about our airport transfer and they advised that they would look into the problem and arrange our pick up - which they did, again straight away). The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable, serviced well every day, by a very friendly lady. The shower is fab with a whole range of settings and spray jets. Breakfast was very good with excellent choice (fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold cuts, rolls, toast, cereal, pastries, scrambled egg and bacon .....) The only negative point I could make re the hotel was the price of drinks on the roof terrace (wine was 3 euros but a gin and tonic was 15!!) Location wise again excellent. the tram and bus stop outside the hotel, three stops (five mins) and you are in the heart of Trastevere - excellent for restaurants. Another couple of stops and you are in centre of Rome. 5 mins walk to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Also on a Sunday there is an excellent flee market directly opposite the hotel.
“Charming, Friendly & Convenient”
We were so pleased with the Trilussa Palace and cannot say enough about the friendly, helpful staff. The clean, quaintly decorated room was small but very comfortable for our week's stay. The breakfast buffet was good - pastries, breads, fruit, eggs, meats & cheeses. We truly enjoyed the rooftop terrace although we never encountered a bartender or snacks from 6-midnight as suggested in the hotel's description. The location was ideal! We were able to walk out the door & hop on the tram which took us to the location we needed to get to most of the popular sites. Again, the staff was extremely friendly & helpful. We were always greeted with smiles & everyone did their best to help us with anything we needed. We will return to Rome & we will stay at Trilussa Palace.

Trastevere - Monteverde, Rome, Italy: Across the River Tiber, Trastevere is a well-established boho chic quarter, full of local character. The patchwork of tiny, cobbled streets houses many bars, good restaurants and buzzing nightlife spots. There is also a treasure trove of medieval churches. In its own piazza, the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere has shimmering golden mosaics and was probably Romes first Christian basilica, founded in 222 AD.
