“BEAUTIFUL HOTEL”
We arrived well before the stated check in time and found bith the door and reception staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The receptionist provided us with maps of the city and brochures on destinations of interest. The standard of the room was definitely 5 star and bedlinen was changed daily with housekeeping staff calling to the room in the evening to check all was in order and to turn down the bed. The hotel restaurant in our opinion was overpriced, but we found a lovely cafe in an adjacent street which served food all day and this catered for our early morning meals. We would definitely stay at this hotel again as it was central, had fabulous views over the park and towards the Vatican, and retained the character of a beautiful old building.
“Expensive but worth it!”
Gorgeous hotel that we couldn't fault. Expect to pay top dollar for all their amenities but its worth it. Watching the sunset from the hotel roof terrace was a highlight. Only fault was no tea or coffee facilities in rooms and 6 Euros is a lot for a cup (not even a pot) of tea!
“La Dolce Vita”
Excellent hotel, good quiet location close to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Villa Borghese.Discrete service, restaurant Le 49 more than worth visiting, head and shoulders above other restaurants visited.
“Excellent location combined with excellent service”
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left three days later, the hotel could not have looked after us better. The location is fantastic, minutes from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain as well as many very reasonable restaurants and the 7th floor terrace has to be experienced. The views over Rome are breathtaking and get even better with an ice cold glass of Pinot Grigio! Stay here, you will not be disappointed!
“Good hotel, great service”
Really enjoyed our stay - the decor is quite classic and may not be to everyone's taste, but the rooms are very comfortable and a decent size. The staff were great and very helpful - we had our kids with us and they moved them to a room next to us on request. We didn't eat there as breakfast was very expensive but did go to roof top bar which was lovely - blankets supplied. Only negative - they booked us a driver to the airport. It was expensive and I thought the driver was one of the most dangerous I have come across in many years of travelling - obviously not the hotel's fault
“Understated luxury”
The hotel is situated close to the via Veneto and the Spanish steps but far enough away to retain peace and tranquillity. The fine roof restaurant overlooks the city with spectacular views of St Peters Basilica. The service throughout the hotel was excellent and I can happily recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for good quality at a reasonable price.
“Quiet upmarket hotel in excellent location”
Smart business type hotel in excellent and safe location between the upmarket shops and restaurants of the Via Veneto and the Villa Borghese gardens. Only five minutes from the Spanish steps, and within easy walking distance of the Vatican and the Forum. Wonderful view over Rome's skyline from the top floor restaurant. Free internet access in the business centre. It would have been nicer to have a small gym in the hotel - if the weather is fine the adjacent Villa Borghese gardens have a number of jogging routes, but during the torrential rain and thunder showers we experienced this wasn't an option. The concierge did however provide the use of large umbrellas which was particularly appreciated in the heavy downpours. Only other minor niggle was that the handbook in the room referred to the hotel providing a bottle of free mineral water as refreshment in the room - unfortunately this was literally all they provided - one 50 ml bottle between two people on a three night stay! Given the price of the rooms this seemed to be particuarly mean! The rooms were comfortable though, and I would recommend this hotel if you can obtain a competitive rate.
“Rome 2011”
Hotel was lovely, Rome was lovely. Would recommend both hotel and Rome to anyone!
“A blissful haven”
After a traumatic journey to Rome (think 5 hour delays,a lousy T5 experience, no information, fractious children etc), our arrival at this hotel saved the day. It was bliss - lovely welcome, they had listened to our room request and the bed was fantasticly comfortable. We were recommended a restaurant just round the corner which was also great. The location is really convenient - just a few minutes from the Spanish Steps or going the other way, very close to the Gallerie Borghese and the Via Veneto.
“Great hotel!”
Lovely Hotel in a good location not far from the Spanish Steps, we found it easy to walk pretty much everywhere. I emailed ahead and asked for a room on a high floor - which i got and also got a late check out. We had a luxury room, good size, good view and a lovely big bed. Bathroom was a little tired in places but a good size, decent shower and lovely toiletries replenished each day. We did not eat in the hotel but took advantage of the free cocktail on the roof terrace, great view and the best bloody mary ever - and i have had quite a few! I thoroughly reccommend this hotel and intend to return, Rome is magical.
