Pay attention with the rates!

Posted 30-Jul-2014
Pros: Staff is unbelievable!
Cons: They should include a 5* facility in their rates and stop charging everything separated.
Location: Nothing, get the shuttle and go to city center
Staff awesome, Hotel beautiful and Location is off-site of everything but they have free shuttle and taxi is easy and not expensive. The problem is that they charge for ABSOLUTELY everything. You pay 38 euros per person for breakfast, 18 euros per person for a chair in the pool area, 30 euros/night for a valet parking, 25 euros per day (yes, 24hs!) for the internet access. Great hotel, just be prepared! I had other options if I knew it was going to go over 400/night.

Stunning hotel

Posted 28-Jul-2014
Pros: Great room, quiet location. Very helpful staff, especially concierge and Giuseppe in particular, who helped me sort problems with shuttle bus booking
Cons: The room was generally clean but the carpet was not very well vacuumed on a daily basis, if at all.
Location: There is a little café for breakfast and pizzeria/ice cream parlour just 5 minutes away if you find the hotel food prices expensive
We booked last minute and didn't really know what to expect - what we found was a stunning hotel in beautiful grounds with everything you could wish for.

Pros: rooms were amazing, loved the pool and location was nice
Cons: get rid of the cost for the lounge chairs and have wifi at no cost in the rooms, even cheaper and lower star hotels in downtown have at charge
Location: location is for sure out of the way so unless you want to spend $45 on a hamburger, your need to take shuttle into town.
only spent one night at this hotel after a 2 week cruise, hotel was lovely and a nice switch from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome. Rooms were amazing, hotel was very nice as well, however to discover that if we wanted to use a lounge chair by the pool it would cost $18 euros each person was rather alarming, we already paid to stay at hotel, so that was a real turn off. we were travelling with 7 people, so to have to spend another $200 to sit by the pool was too much. As well the prices for food were ridiculous, a pizza or burger was $45 Canadian. Yes l know you are in Europe everything is expensive but that is just crazy expensive in my opinion. Another note is the shuttle into town, get in line early like 30 min before as if the bus fills up you have to wait for the next bus. In the afternoon they have 3 hour break from 1-4 with no shuttle bus back to the hotel, so you can imagine everyone wants back on that bus, so only half of the people waiting in line got on the shuttle back, others had to wait for another hour. overall loved the hotel, would go back for sure, but l seriously think the hotel needs to reconsider this charge for the chairs

Nice hotel. Not the most convenient location.

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Pros: I really liked the balcony in my room. Although I was on the backside with the lesser desirable view of the giant radio tower, it was still nice.
Cons: Expect to get charged for everything. Use of the pool, gym, etc. In my opinion those are basic things that should come with every room.
Location: Mentioned above. Not much around. A grocery store near the bus stop. The hotel itself has several restaurants.
The Rome Cavalieri is a very nice hotel with everything you would expect from an upscale, western hotel. As it sits on top of a hill east of Rome, its a bit out of the way from everything. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to and from Barberini every hour but I found myself taking the bus more often. There's a stop just down the hill which will take you into the city and from there you can go wherever you want. The pool is very nice although use of it doesn't necessarily come with your room. The hotel staff were very friendly. The rooms are extremely nice. If you're looking for a relaxing get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this would be a good choice.

Oasis in a busy city

Posted 16-Jul-2014
Pros: Comfort was very good
Cons: Internet charges
Overall pleased with the hotel. On our second day room service was chaotic and we ended up not getting all of our food - not good at all. On the plus side, they removed the charge from the bill. Internet connection is hugely overpriced at 25 Euro per device!! In this era of free wifi ubiquity, this would stop me returning to the hotel.

Terrible Hotel Staff

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: The facilities.
Cons: Staff.
Location: A bit out of the way but still ok.
The hotel is nice and teh facilities quite good, but the concierge and bellhop staff in particular are generally unhelpful and disinterested. One will invariably send you to teh other, who will tell you they don't know the answer - and they have no desire to look into it!

Beautiful Hotel

Posted 30-Jun-2014
Pros: Everything! Wished we could have stayed longer.
Cons: 25 Euros per day WiFi 20 Euros per day to use the Spa facilities and Pool Quicker clearance of breakfast dishes
Beautiful hotel about 15 minutes drive from the centre of Rome. From check-in to check-out, our stay was perfection. All the staff were courteous and helpful. Lovely rooms, very comfortable beds and pillows and all the amenities you required. Fresh bottles of water were left each evening. The Breakfast Buffet (38 Euros) was pricey but extensive and every taste catered for. We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening so cannot comment but am sure it would have been just as delicious. The outside eating area overlooking the pool was lovely as was the outside bar seating area. There was a shuttle bus which ran frequently to and from Rome centre otherwise a taxi cost anywhere between 10-20 Euros depending on where you wished to go and the time of day. Can honestly say we enjoyed every minute of our stay and look forward to visiting again.
