“Beautiful site near Rome”
Their website is not totally representative of the hotel actual condition, it could received an uplift or be refresh. Be careful when you book your room, you may not get what you have seen on their website.
“Beautiful Property”
Location is excellent for touring Castelli Romani region south of Rome. Property is beautiful; it's a villa! The room we had was perfectly fine, but it had a window on a back garden and no view in a location known for The View. Staff was kind and helpful, but when a movie crew arrived, guests were asked to park outside the hotel grounds. Restaurant was not open because of the season, but I've read it is fantastic. The free shuttle to Frascati was highly useful for dinner in town and extremely prompt.
“Beautiful setting”
Beautiful place outside of Rome. Need toplan on the time for the train trips into Rome. People were very nice. Dinner outside at night was magical. Superior service& very good food & wine.
“A taste of the Grand Tour”
Park Hotel Grazioli offered a taste of what a 19th Grand Tour must have been like....discreet and intelligent staff, elegant surroundings, a gorgeous view and a sense of ever so slightly faded grandeur. The guests were a cosmopolitan bunch which made the whole stay feel a little more special and watching the preparations for a wedding that took place when we were staying there felt like watching the opening of an Italian movie. Delicious. Eating at the hotel was costly but the local town centre was a short drive away and we enjoyed all our food though the last night's meal at the Belvedere was probably the best we had. Travelling into Rome is easy. The hotel run an efficient shuttle service that has to be book and the trains go regularly and take you into the centre of the city. An altogether delightful break full of incident, art and relaxation.
“A wonderful hide-away close to Rome”
This is a really beautiful hotel with very friendly staff, situated just a short drive from the old town of Frascati on the south of Rome. Rooms are mainly in two very nice old converted buildings, with bigger, de-luxe rooms and suites in the main hotel building. The shuttle bus runs every hour to meet with the trains to/from Rome - a 30 minute rail journey away. The main building is amazing with fantastic high vaulted ceilings and beautiful wall frescos. The public rooms, of which there were many, were large and airy, with comfy sofas everywhere allowing you to admire the views over Rome and the surrounding coutryside. Our double room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had well functioning, and reasonably quite, air conditioning - needed in the 35oC heat when we were there - and a cool minibar. Breakfast was better than most Italian-owned hotels I have stayed in, with the option of Continental (9€) or "American" (15€) - which is extra. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful thoughout our 7-night stay and we had a wonderful stay. This is a relatively quite hotel, part of the Relais and Chateaux association and is perfect if you are looking for a romantic, "away from it all" break, with the option of serious sightseeing in Rome if you want it. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to our friends.
“Elena”
Great location, beautiful venue but not so great rooms and interesting service
“Italy 2010”
The hotel one mile outside of the beautiful town of Frascati and offered shuttle service between the hotel and train station (essentially in-town) throughout the day. The rooms were spacious and cleanly kept. Plenty of closet space and large bathrooms. The pool was closed as it was off-season, but the flowers were blooming on the impeccably managed grounds and I can only imagine how gorgeous it is in the height of the summer! The restaurant is terribly expensive (which is why we always ate in town), but if you don't mind spending $150+ USD on a tasteful dinner you might want to go for it. We liked the quaint ristorante and pizzerias in town for 50 EURO. Our only complaint was that the local dogs up the street sometimes barked from 1-4am, which for a light sleeper (such as my boyfriend) presents a huge problem. Changing our room only diminished the annoyance of sound, but stopped after we kindly complained.
“A quiet retriet from Rome”
The hotel is great if you are going to take advantage of the swimming pool but otherwise I would recommend looking into hotels in Frascati itself. As a previous reviewer had mentioned the bar is very expensive but I think this is mainly spirits, a bacardi and coke was 11 Euros but the remaining 2 glasses of wine and a half litre of bear was 14 euros so stick to the wine and bear if you are on a relatively tight budget. The shuttle bus is essential for this hotel as it is a good 30-40 minute walk into town and certainly not recommended at night as there is no street lighting - take a torch if you intend trying it. The hotel is dominated by weddings in the summer, a little frustrating if you are planning on dining in the hanging garden for a romantic dinner as we were, only to find it was not available. Frascati is a lovely little town but be warned english language is not generally spoken so a little italian will help you. We were pleased to be out of Rome even though it was a 25 minute train ride each way. Rome can be extremely noisy.
“historical mansion”
This 4 star hotel is a very nice quiet hotel ,which is in frascati,30mins from rome by train. I really enjoyed staying there with my family.Hotel has free shuttle service to the frascati train station, from there you can go to rome within 30min.I recommend this hotel to anyone, who likes nature and peace out of the city.
“Top Notch Stay!!!”
I was a bit worried at first in how to find this hotel from the airport. I guess we were lucky to find it, a mobile phone was definately needed to contact them to pick us up from frascatti station. But once we got there everything was super. The views are stunning, the building itself is a master piece, but we didnt stay inside the castle, which we didnt know about until we got there. However it was still an amazing experience, the staff there are friendly and helpful, especially Patrick, he did everything to help me. The swimming pool was great place to relax, swim and get a sun tan. Although it closes a little early, which isn't a good thing if you want to explore rome. It does take 5 mins from the hotel to frascatti station by hotel shuttle and another 30mins trip to get into central Rome, but was an experience. Overall I enjoyed every minute of this trip with my Girlfriend. :)
