“Rome”
The hotel was just what we needed. Low cost for one night, close from the airport. Room was clean. Internet (wired) did not work and I had to go to the lobby to use wireless connection.
“Shuttle scam”
Hotel may be clostest to airport without being on property. However, by the time you pay the 15 euro each way to/from airport. You would be better off staying at the hiltion airport location. This hotel charges 15 euro per room for shuttle service.
“Good alternative for one night”
The hotel is clean, friendly service, rooms small, mine only had a small shower, hotel restaurant is simple but OK, relatively close to Fiumicino
“Cheap and Nasty”
Be reminded that Airport shuttle fee is 15EUR for one way, and not available after 10 p.m. You may better use a taxi if you travel with other persons. To be fair, staff and food restaurant are ok, but rooms are small and not well maintained. The room I stayed did not have wired internet connection point, so I had to go to the ground floor to access wireless internet. There is no shops around and no place to go in the area of the hotel, thogh I didn't care because I stayed there as a shelter for only one night before taking a connection flight.
“A place near the airport”
This hotel oiffers a quick ride from the airport and was clean and welcoming. There was a pool but you were charged for the use of it. The staff were generally nice but not well informed about basic things like what time the church services were in town. They all knew where the church was but not the times, something that a hotel shoud have readily available. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food in the restaurant was good and the complimentary breakfast was enjoyale.
“Nice staff, awful location”
Staff was extremely pleasant but location is not convenient bed was not comfortable and bathroom is very small and outdated.
“Bad decision”
Several reasons I would not recommend this hotel: The room was so small that we had to keep our bags on the porch so that we could move around - we asked for and paid for a triple but got a double room with the dresser removed and an extra bed in its place. The air conditioner didn't work in the room, we reported it and it never got fixed. The beds provided the worst night sleep any of us had...hard but lumpy and creaked at every shift or turn which was a lot since we were constantly trying to find a comfortable position. There is a lovely pool that you can use for "free" BUT you must "rent" a hotel towel for 6 euro...this is ridiculous. There is a private beach but to get there you have use their shuttle service for 4 euro and it doesn't run at all between 11am and 5pm so if you go in the morning you're stuck there until after 5. Or you can take the metro bus requiring one transfer and this area of town is not the best. The shuttle service also does not run before 6am, therefore, if you have an early flight it will cost 40 euro to get to airport for the 10 minute ride. The restaurant food was very good but they didn't have all the items on the menu available.
“One Night Stay”
Ostia was a great over night stay for what we needed. Very closely located to the airport, and airport transportation was great! The breakfast was much more than we expected, so that was a nice surprise as well; with a cappuccino machine, meat selection for make your own sandwich, and a lot of wonderful bread and morning treat selections. The patio/pool area was a great place to just relax. There were four of us, so the room was a bit small, but again, we were only there over night, so not much of a problem. The only problem we had, was the shower over flowed. oops! We are still unsure of how that happened- a modern shower put in-place of the old shower. There was no drain system outside the shower, so we spent a better part of our night cleaning up the water. Overall- for a one night stay, it was very enjoyable!
“A bit disappointed... the hotel is a bit old.”
I was so excited to stay in this hotel. We could not find it on GPS at all. We have been asking people for this. We could not speak Italian, just guessed the Italian description to find the location. The end we spent almost 3x minutes to arrive to the hotel. The way road was quite dark and could not find any sign for this hotel. It was a bit disappointed, the hotel is a bit old. The room's temperature was freezing. The meter seems like a fake meter. I tried to adjust it few times, the room was still same temperature. The breakfast was not nice, not many option. (Compared with other hotel where I lived). Do not waste money on the internet network (cable not wifi), cos the network is so slow and got crash many times. I only could give comment. Anyway I won't come back again.
“Almost countryside”
Though the hotel was a bit far away from Vatican city, I still had the bus and metro to get around. Nice little comfy hotel if what your looking for is a clean place to stay. I have no complaints at all

The jewel of the area is nearby Ostia Antica. The architectural site gives a fascinating insight into the everyday life of sailors, merchants and slaves dating to the fourth century B.C. It later became Ancient Romes port for 600 years.
