“Great Location”
We were really pleased with the hotel. It was a 2 minute walk from the bus stop that took you to the colluseum. The room was clean and spacious. We had fresh towels each day. Breakfast was great . Lovely places to eat around the hotel. Friendly staff. Would definatley visit again.
“Very nice Rome hotel”
Very nice and comfortable hotel. Room clean, service very good, breakfast great. Very good location in Trastevere. I would definatly come back!
“Great Hotel, Great Location, Great City”
Great Location, Wonderfully helpful staff, and beautiful communual areas. Rooms was Spacious and well equiped, slightly inferior to the rest of hotel in terms of decor.
“Perfect Hotel”
The room, staff, breakfast, location, price were all perfect! Would definately stay here again! It was also great that the staff spoke english. Very modern, ultra-cool decor. Breakfast buffet was fantastic; wide variety. 2 min walk to the tram stop.
“Well placed with friendly staff”
Hotel Ripa looks very elegant with minimalist decor generally in black, white and grey. It's well placed a short tram ride or about 20 minutes walk from the centre of the city and the staff are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Bing just off the main drag, it's also quite quiet. The downside to the minimalist decor is that there is little storage and no comfortable seating in the room and during our stay the bar was closed though a limited drink service was available in the restaurant.
“Rome Rocks!”
Apparently you can always expect a double room to have 2 single mattresses pushed together in Rome; nevertheless in other 4 star European hotels I have stayed the mattresses are doubles. Even in Travelodge! Otherwise the room was excellent, as too was the service, though xx euros for a cocktail while a bar round the corner supplying the same for half is a bit daft in my opinion. The breakast was awesome but loving all food I'm easy so doesn't say much really! Location was key for me and being a church / pillar / fountain - speckled 10 minute walk away from the center of such a beautiful city... it really helped make the holiday. Overall I would happily stay there again, just missing my bed back home, which isn't such a bad thing! Oh and 5 minutes in the opposite direction takes you to the Station Ristorante - all round brilliance!
“Great Hotel for Short City Break”
Booked the Hotel Ripa for a short break over Easter (4th April - 7th April) The Hotel was as advertised and as expected from checking locations prior to booking was not in the centre of Rome. However, bus and tram services were readily available or if feeling more energetic as we did you could walk to main areas in around 30 mins. All the staff from booking in to checking out were friendly and helpful, and even with my basic Italian were happy to converse in English and Italian!! We ate in the hotel restaraunt, which offered a decent and deliious range of food (although menu was fixed for lunch and dinner) and the waiters again were very accommadating - Giovanni in particular was very pleasent and even wished us a safe journey home before leaving for the day!!! Our room (413) was perfect for our needs as we used it mainly as a place to sleep and shower. Walls were thinner than we were used to but given the time of year the hotel was fairly quiet. All in all a very good experience and would recommend it - if we were to return to Rome we would consider booking here again!!
“Would come again”
First impressions were that the Hotel Ripa is looking a little tired, some render missing from the outsides, and the room was in need of a refurb. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is located within easy walking distance of the major attractions. The breakfast was ok with a reasonable selection. If arriving on a Sunday as we did just be aware that the dining room is closed, but there is a good selection of restaurants nearby.
“You will like it!”
Nice hotel with it's own unusual design; tasty full breakfasts; big and clean rooms; good view if you have top floor rooms; private balcony; BUT: no free wi-fi; small TV; little bit far from city centre, but ROME is not a huge town, so you can easily reach to any destination even by walk. I got by walk from hotel to Vatican in 20-30 minutes.
“Good hotel”
Hotel Ripa is in a good safe location, far enough away from the tourist area so the rates were competitive, but within walking distance - about 30 minutes to the Vatican for instance. The restaurants in the area are great, more for locals than tourists so you'll find great food and wine. The staff at Hotel Ripa were really helpful, accomodating and friendly. The room's were spacious, but the beds are quite hard so not so comfortable. They do a great breakfast included also. I'd stay there again and would recommend it.

Area:
Trastevere - Monteverde, Rome, Italy: Across the River Tiber, Trastevere is a well-established boho chic quarter, full of local character. The patchwork of tiny, cobbled streets houses many bars, good restaurants and buzzing nightlife spots. There is also a treasure trove of medieval churches. In its own piazza, the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere has shimmering golden mosaics and was probably Romes first Christian basilica, founded in 222 AD.
