“Can't wait to go back!”
After just coming back from a fantastic 5 day break in Rome we have nothing but praise and happy memories from our trip. The Hotel majestic was just fantastic! Location was just the best, our room was lovely, spacious, beautifully decorated and immaculate.
The turn down service at the end of a long day exploring was just what we needed. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, all our needs were met with a constant smile.
It was the little touches that made us feel very well looked after.
We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and we really look forward to returning in the not to distant future.
Area recommendations
There are so many wonderful places to go in Rome, around every corner there is another must see monument. A tour of the Vatican state is a must, the basilica just amazed us both. The Trevi fountain is beautiful, the coliseum is just wonderful, we also took a tour of the palatine hill which is a must otherwise you would just miss out on so much of the history that goes with all the buildings.
Also piazza novona is a beautiful area to visit, where you can buy original paintings of all the main sights. All in all Rome is just an amazing place to visit.
Getting there
Alitalia airline is highly recommended, we took the 6am flight and was in our hotel room by 11am, then we had all day to explore.
Getting around
The best way is walking, however if you are wishing to venture out further purchase a 72hr metro pass for €11 easily the best thug we did.
Must see
Vatican state, Sistine chapel & the basilica.
Coliseum and palatine hill.
Trevi fountain and the pantheon.
Dining
Dining out is fairly expensive but there are many options to choose from so you can spent as little or as much as you want.
