“Good value”

Our room was in a seperate building, which was almost new. The room was small, but the bathroom was very modern. The only real bad point was the mobile transmitter mast located a few meters away. Too close for comfort ....

“poor breakfast facilities”

This hotel was perfectly located for sight seeing everything being within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but that was expected for a city centre hotel. There were no tea-making facilities in the room and the breakfast room was located on the 5th floor via a spiral staircase. This room consisted of 4 small tables which seated 3 people each,all crammed together. As there were over 15 rooms in hotel I will let you do the sums as to how many people could be catered for at any one time. Breakfast should not have been included as this spoiled our impression of the hotel

“Acceptable but could have been better.”

The hotel had a great location and friendly staff although with some things they were to laid back. The room was sufficient for 1 person as it was small but there were a few sticky spots (spilled juice?) on the desk and there was long black hair in several places in the room. And I am happy that I had my own shampoo and such as the ones that were provided of the 2 shampoos one had been opened and partially used. Aside from those details the room was comfortable and sufficient for the price I paid. Oh... And also. The cleanser that they used in the rooms/hall had a funky smell to it.

terrific, i would recomend this hotel to friends and family, al tho everyone needs their own room..beds are not sharable..clean and safe neighborhood for walking any time of day or night..close to everything,good restaurants ..very nice people..

“Fabulous Location”

This hotel is in an amazing location between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps with plenty of shopping and dining options with convenient access to all the public transportation to get to all of the sights Rome has to offer. The value is amazing, and I would absolutely recommend staying Hotel Fenice.

The hotel was ideally located, spotlessly clean with very friendly and efficient staff with good English.

“Location, Location, Location”

On checking in we were taken out of the hotel and round to the next street into a private apartment building. Thought this was kind of strange but the top floor room was fine, all mod cons if a little on the small side (typical of continental Europe). The reason for the change was given as un upgrade due to smaller rooms in main hotel. The location is absolutely brilliant, half way between spanish steps and trevi fountain, infact all the main attractions are within a "good" walk. Rooms were clean and staff friendly. Would definitely recommend to friends for great location if nothing else. Travel from airport is easy, SIT shuttle bus to Termini (central rail terminal) for 8 euro (train is available but can be very crowded). Short taxi ride or 3/4 metro stops to either barberini or spagna metro stations which are a short walk from hotel. Rome is a wonderful city but can be expensive, check prices before eating out, 5 euro for a can of coke is not unusual. Will definitely return at some stage!!!

“Location is the name of the game.”

Room was just as expected for europe,small but it was fine.Fresh towels and sheets everyday. Perfect for our family of 3. Staff was friendly, helpful with questions, willing to address any issues- lost camera-(they got it back!) Breakfast sufficient to start the day, LOCATION AMAZING! Walked everywhere, just far enough to not hear all the traffic and people,but yet turn the corner and your in the middle of the people. Walking distance to metro, buses and Trevi fountain. It was a great location.

The hotel had very friendly staff that provided a warm welcome. The room was clean and although small (as i gather most in Rome are) was decorated to a high standard. It was in a perfect location-very central...close to the Spanish steps and Trefi fountain and also close to a metro station in Barbini. If a cosy, welcoming hotel at a reasonable price is what you want,this hotel is perfect.
