“Good Experience”
We had a good time in Rome staying at the Giorgi. The hotel did exactly what we needed - it provided a place to sleep and a breakfast in the morning. It was 5 minutes walk from the train station. The room was clean and well maintained. It could be improved upon by having tea and coffee making equioment in the room. But over all a good place to stay close to centre of Rome.
“nice hotel with good location but with rude, unhelpful desk clerks ;non-english speaking ang very imp”
see above.
“Not Recommended- You Can Find Better And For Less Money”
Stayed at the hotel for 4 out of 5 nights. Had to leave one day early because there was no hot water and the elevator did not work. We were told the water would be fixed within 30 minutes but it was not. Front desk staff was not truthful or very friendly. The walk up to the 5th floor was a stress after 2-3 times. We left and found another hotel which was 50% cheaper and the room was as good if not better. There are many hotels to stay at near the train station and the Giorgi should not be the one.
“Ideal location”
This hotel is only 2 minutes from the station and very easy to walk to all the main attractions of Rome from here. Very satisfactory hotel, room was comfortable, buffet breakfast had plenty of variety. Value for money
“Causy, Close, Convenient!!!!”
Friendly staff, great location, old elevator but stuff does the trick. Very nice breakfast with the variety needed. no smell, working AC, Comfortable...... maps r given at the front desk, and help is offered.
“A good breakfast!”
I found the other reviews regarding this hotel most helpful when I was looking for somewhere to stay in Rome. The location is excellent if you want to have access to the train station, and the 20 min walk into the centre is very pleasant. We were on the top floor and had a balcony, which was lovely. The room was large and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was the best "continental" breakfast out of all the hotels we stayed in while in Italy. The only bad thing is that, if you don't like lifts, the rickity 1920's do-the-doors-yourself-kinda lift is a bit nerve racking. But as we were on the 5th floor, didnt really have a choice! Overall, I thought the hotel was a very good find!
“Nice hotel within a couple blocks from Roma Termini”
We picked this hotel for its price and proximity to the train station and found it to be quite nice. The staff was friendly and even carried one bag up five floors due to maintenance with the elevator. There are plenty of restaurants close by and if you are using the station as a hub, it’s perfect. Our only complaint is that the bathroom had a strong odor of sewer. We will stay again next time.
“convenient location”
convenient location, pretty quiet neigborhood, staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the top floor and we even had a balcony. We didn't have the breakfast even though it was included. The lift was not very convenient, as you will have to go up to 1st floor, change to another lift and then go up again. The lift was very small too that can only fit 1 person and 1 piece of luggage. Bathroom was clean.
“Highly recommended”
I was very impressed with my stay from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The room itself was comfortable and clean, which was very important. The TV only has about 4 channels with CNN being the only English channel but I found this adequate. Air conditioning for the room is controlled from reception so you just need ot ring them to asked them to turn it on or off. The housemaids clean the room everyday ensuring that you come back to a clean and organised room at the end of the day. There is also a fridge in the room with 2 complimentary bottles of still water and 2 bottles of carbonated water. Breakfast is served from 7am to 10am and you can eat as much as you want. They have a wide selection of breads, cereals, drinks and I found it a perfect start to the day. The staff at reception are also very helpful. The helped recommend a great Italian restaurant down the road to try. The location itself is perfect. It is 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini so getting to and from the airport is very little hassle. The location of the hotel also means that you can walk to the sights easily. Walking to the Colosseum takes only 20-30 minutes. If you fancy taking the Metro then you can easily get on at Roma Termini. The surrounding area is pleasant too, with a lot of other hotels and lots of restaurants where you can sample Italian cuisine. I found it safe during the day and night. The hotel exceeded my expectations and I would definitely stay there again if I was to return to Rome.
