“Friendly hotel staff”
This hotel has excellent customer service. It is located close to the train station making it an ideal location. The rooms are clean and breakfast was excellcent. The staff were extremely helpful. I definitely would stay in this hotel again. I have stayed in a number of hotels in Rome and this is by far the best hotel experience I have had in Rome.
“clean and near the train station”
I stayed in this hotel with my girl for one night. It was near the train station and was very clean. The guy who checked us in was nice and helpful. I liked the bed alot athough my girl thought it was to hard. The breakfast could have been better. Overall if u want a clean hotel near the train stastion this is a good choice.
“Great hotel, will stay again.”
Great location with great friendly service. We were upgraded to the penthouse suite which was a huge pleasant surprise. It has a roof top balcony with a great view. Room is clean, recently renovated, comfortable size for a hotel in Rome. Walking distance to the Termini and Metro station. Complimentary breakfast was quite good. Will definitely stay there again.
“Perfect base to explore Rome”
Hotel still feels recently-renovated, with all fixtures and fittings feeling relatively new. Rooms aren't huge, but finished to high quality. Beds are very firm. We used public computers and the free room wi-fi, fitness room, bar. Breakfast good quality and good wide selection. Staff very helpful with all queries. Near Termini, so very convenient for public transport around Rome. Unreservedly recommended
“Close to train station, great staff”
This hotel was very close to the train station so we could walk to it. We arrived before our room was ready but were seated in the bar area and given complimentary espresso and cappuchino while we waited. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our needs. The neighborhood is a bit busy and crowded but walk one block to find wonderful trattorias and parks.
“Good hotel near Termini (Rome Central) Train Station”
We encountered a small issue at this hotel when our booked room was unavailable at check-in on our first day due to air-conditioning problems. We were moved to another hotel close by, and our transport via taxi was paid for and everything was done to ensure minimum inconvenience to us. The hotel staff here are fantastic and very helpful (especially the lovely doorman!). After we did eventually check in to our room, we were slightly disappointed with the outdated décor of the room, especially for the room rate we were paying. However the room was clean and a good size for a couple. The mini bar is free (but this does not include alcohol - only soft drink cans and water!). Breakfast was included, but this was a limited buffet that was somewhat disappointing. We walked to this hotel from the train station which was convenient, but the area that the hotel is located in was a bit run down. Still, an overall pleasant experience at the Hotel Diocleziano.
“Great hotel, very friendly staff, convenient location”
We stayed five nights at the Hotel Diocleziano and would choose this hotel again. Although not in perhaps the most popular area of the city, it benefits from being close to the Termini bus train and metro connections and from being on a quieter side street, which meant we always relaxed and had a good night's sleep. Our room was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the free hotel wifi meant we could check up on things and get recommendations for places to eat nearby. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, helping us find our way around and booking a car back to the airport for us. Everyone said hello, good morning and goodbye as we arrived and left each day. The staff in the breakfast buffet area were particularly bright and chirpy. And the excellent choice of breakfast meant we got of to a good start eat day. We certainly ate well in Rome. We did notice some homeless people on the street near the station, but were never hassled or felt threatened or unsafe. You could pay a lot more for less room and service.
“Will choose the place again and again!”
Excellent place! Extremely clean, helpful staff, decent air-conditioning (we were there during a very hot week in late August). Free wireless internet (a big value in Europe) that worked well, the minibar was replenished daily with a couple of free bottles of water and soda, and some nice neighborhood restaurants within very short walk. I would have likes a softer mattress, but they seem not so common in many parts of Europe. Close to Termini as well as Repubblica (Metro line A) stations. Also very close are Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, both excellent churches to visit. I shall choose to stay there for my next visit to the Etrenal City!
“Nice Hotel, Great staff with a great attitude”
The good: Great staff that was very concerned about providing great customer service. Room was nice and you daily you received 2 complimentary sodas, 2 waters and a juice. Located a block away from the train and metro. The bad: Not really much to report, the beds are very firm, so if you're used to a pillow top bed it may take a day or two to get used to it.
“Excellent Value hotel in convenient but slightly downmarket location”
We were very impressed with all details about this hotel. The location was very convenient being close to Termini Station and while the area was not the greatest we encountered no problems at all. However, we were not out late at night.
