“Can't wait to go back”
We cannot praise this hotel enough. Everything was excellent, including the staff, the hotel building, the buffett breakfast and the location to the Coliseum. We will be returning.
“excellent hotel”
Excellent hotel with warm and friendly welcome. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Good breakfast and room service. Convenient location for the Coliseum and adjacent Roman ruins. I reccommend this hotel and will stay there again, when I return to Rome.
“coliseum best”
Impressive hotel with roof terrace close to the Coliseum. Breakfast room but no restaurant, but the fun is eating out, there are lots of local eating places nearby to cater for all tastes and budgets.
“"Excellent"”
Capo D'Africa is a wonderful Hotel and very well located for the Coliseum and surrounding areas, plenty of places to eat within walking distance too. This Hotel is located in a quiet area of the City so no street noise. Comfy shoes a must, we walked everywhere to take in the sights of magnificent Rome - apart from a 10 minute taxi ride to St Peters, reception organised this no problem. The staff at Hotel Capo' D'Africa are friendly, polite and very helpful. The room was very clean and a good size (small bathroom but very well equipped), bed was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent, great choice of food (roof top terrace if weather permits) and again staff were excellent. We went at the beginning of November and we had clear blue skies for the duration of our stay, can't wait to go again, fabulous City!
“Good hotel close to the Colosseum”
Good hotel very close to the Colosseum and Forum. Access to other areas of the city on foot or by public transport. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was clean with a huge bed, plenty of wardrobe space and a safe. The bathroom had a bath and good shower over with lots of hot water. The minibar was rather expensive but then again they usually are. Breakfast was served in a bright dual aspect room with a terrace for sunny days even in November. Plentiful buffet with a wide choice of food: breads, cakes, fruit, cold meats, cheese, scrambled egg, yogurts etc. The area had a selection of cafes, restaurants and bars as well as some local shops including asmall supermarket and a hardware store where we bought coffeemakers much cheaper than the stores in the main shopping area. It was not noisy at night though.
“perfect!”
Lovely hotel. Close to colliseum. Walking distance to majority of sites. Only got taxi to Vatican and very reasonable price. Room excellent. Comfy bed. Staff very helpful and friendly. In nice quiet area with some lovely trattatorias frequented by locals. This hotel surpassed our expectations.
“Fantastic Rome hotel”
We were after a boutique hotel that we were willing to pay a little bit extra for and we were'nt dissappointed. It was located 800 yards from the colleseum, but in a really quiet street with a lot of inexpensive restaurants very close by. The Hotel staff were very helpful especially with where to eat and what bus we needed to catch to get to the specific historic sites. (Top tip ; the taxis are very expensive but there are loads of buses that you can ride for 75 minutes for 1 euro - but nobody actually checks the ticket so we used the same ones all day !!!!)
“excellent hotel in great location”
Perfect, situated in a quiet location, just a short walk to colliseum, staff very friendly and very helpful. they recommended good places to eat not too expensive but good, the best way to travel to Vatican, order taxis etc. The terrace on the roof top is a lovely way to have breakfast and once again the staff can't do enough for you,
“CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK”
THIS HOTEL IS FABULOUS. WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER. THE HOTEL IS EXTREMELY CLEAN, THE STAFF IS VERY COURTEOUS. ANY QUESTIONS YOU ASK SUCH AS WHERE TO EAT, HOW FAR ARE THE SITES ETC., THEY GO OUT OF THE WAY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU. IT'S WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE COLUSEEUM AND DELICIOUS RESTAURANTS. CAPO D' AFRICA SERVES FULL BREAKFASTS ON THE ROOF TOP OF THE HOTEL WHICH WILL SATISFY YOUR TASTE BUDS, WHILE ENJOYING THE VIEW BEFORE VENTURING OUT FOR THE DAY.
“Amazing hotel with the friendliest staff in Rome!”
We stayed in the Hotel Capo D'Africa for a week after our wedding and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were really welcoming and always on hand to help us with directions, recommendations and make sure that our every need was met, without being interfering. The high level of service was apparent with every person we encountered there. The breakfasts were also fantastic and the location was perfect too.
