“Roman Hotel”
We had four people and they had a family-sized room for four that was very convenient. It is close to Vatican City (within walking distance), but not close to the center of the city of Rome. You will have to call for taxis to go into the heart of Rome since this hotel is not on a main thoroughfare. The continental breakfast was very good with hot and cold food. The staff was excellent and all spoke fluent English.
“very nice”
Very nice hotel .For the price we were expecting not much, but is good location and big room(for 4).With out GPS very hard to find and there is NO Parking.
“St Peters Awaits”
A lovely hotel set in a quiet neighbourhood. A 15 minute walk down hill from St Peters Square. The breakfast was nice and set you up for the day. A little bus runs just outside the hotel and drops you off at st Peters.
“Hilltop Hotel”
The day-time hotel staff were friendly and knowledgable, providing exact bus numbers for the places I was travelling to. It is a bit difficult to find the hotel, and the taxi did have a tough time (30 euros from the station). I took the bus to the station when I left Rome for 1 euro. The bathroom appeared large, but was difficult to manuever around the tight corners. The room got warm at times, but it was a great excuse to open the shutters. It is at the top of a hill, so be prepared to walk. I ended up walking the neighborhood in the dark both at night and early morning; I didn't feel safe as a solo female. Just FYI.
“Impressive”
Hotel was lovely, and the staff were very friendly. Lovely clean comfortable rooms. Literally 10 min walk from the Vatican, 5 min walk from the station with quick links to other parts of Rome.
“Not impressed”
Somehow significant difference in actual versus quoted price, plus additions. Only one employee spoke english, not very much or too well, contrary to the multilingual staff note in the description. Could hear every flush of a toilet from the room, sounded as if going to come through the ceiling or wall. Not very sound proof, hear every noise/voice in hallways from the rooms (in our case every sound from the lobby, too). And, from hallways, could hear anything from a room. Located at the top of a long steep hill, long hard walk from closest train or bus stops. Good workout for a competitve endurance athlete, even without hauling luggage. The 700m to St. Peter's Square in description must be straight line on a map to nearest loction of perimeter, not actual walk or considering all entrances being on the far side of perimeter. Road does some switchbacks, it's a long steep "700m". Maybe the shortcut to train station is a 700m walk, thats's about 1/4 of the way to the square.
“Very comfortable and affordable”
We were on the 4th floor with our own private large balcony. The bathroom was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The price was very reasonable, considering the three of us, and breakfast was included...with a real cappucino.
“Worst Hotel Experience!”
WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE in my 40 years of traveling. I would have rated this hotel between 4 and five IF: they fixed or turned on the air conditioning. The first night we sweltered in the room, but because we got in late, 9pm, the night clerk said it was not turned on correctly, so he came in and "adjusted" it. Next night it was so hot, we opened the window and left the door to the hall propped open with a chair. The third night they moved us to a third floor room and again we had to leave the window open ( with no screens and with the bugs). I found out on the last day, that everyone was complaining. It would have been a very nice place to stay if the air conditioning worked. The staff seemed to sympathize and were very friendly, but could not help us.
“Not well located”
I would not recommend this hotel because of the location and also very bad breakfast, we stayed in hotels in Venice, Florence, another one in Rome and this had the worst breakfast, the location is on the top of a small mountain so if you go there prepare to walk a lot !!!
“hôtel Alessandrino Rome près du Vatican”
très bon hôtel, confortable, propre et prix correct ; placé à proximité du Vatican dans une rue très calme ; Petit déjeuner complet et copieux; chambre confortable et très propre; personnel de la réception parlant français ou anglais .
