“I expected a lttle better”
Good staf service, good location, room cleaness not very good, small rooms and a little dark.
“great hotel”
Super hotel, great location, great staff, great breakfast and wonderful accommodations. We booked after reading a NY times review- the hotel lived up to all of the review and then some!
“Get away from the noise”
A beautiful building, very tasteful and in my opinion perfectly located. About 10 to 15 minute walk from everywhere, but just far away to become an oasis of peace far from the madding croud. Great for romantics and business people.
“Mixed experience in a lovely hotel”
The hotel is situated in a great neighborhood, walking distance to everything, yet off the tourist path. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character. The garden is lovely and the rooms nice. We were told on our second (of four) days that we would need to change rooms - either that evening or at 8 the next morning b/c there was some work being done on our floor. Of course no one mentioned this to us when we checked in, when we certainly would have chosen to stay in a different room or a different hotel. We chose to pack up that evening and switch. Although they assured us that the room we were moving to was very nice, it wasn't. It was considerably smaller and did not have a bath. When we complained, we were moved again to a better room, not as good as the first one, but fine. No one apologized or tried to compensate us in any way for the hassle of packing and moving mid-stay. Staff was fine, but not particularly friendly. Also I would have really liked even a tiny gym. Had a great trip, but I am not sure I would go back there.
“Wonderful hotel”
My daughter and I loved this hotel. We went to Rome for a getaway for a few days before Christmas, escaping from a very snowy Frankfurt. The hotel itself is beautiful. It's only been in existence as a hotel for about three years. Before that it was a monastery and, in fact, there are three nuns still in residence and an active chapel. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, offering excellent suggestions for restaurants and things to do and making reservations, when needed. The beds were firm and very comfortable. Breakfast is included and offers a nice variety, from scrambled eggs, to fruit, to pastries. The surrounding area has a multitude of wonderful restaurants. The only drawbacks - there is no room service and the hotel is not centrally located. There is a bar, however, and restaurants within easy walking distance. And after a day of touring, my daughter and I were quite content to grab a cab back to our hotel and relax. I highly recommend this very beautiful hotel.

“A gem in Rome”
Donna Camilla Savelli was amazing, it was more than I could ever hope for. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked great, the bed was big and comfortable and breakfast was wonderful! We just loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quaint, quiet hotel that is still close to everything.
“Would recommend this hotel to anyone”
Great hotel with lots of restaurants in the neighborhood within walking distance.
“Best Kept Secret in Rome”
This is truly a gem of a hotel. Just two years new, it is just over the Ponte Sisto in Trastevere--a great, quiet area with loads of restaurants ( a real blessing after a busy day's activities in central Rome). The staff is outstanding--courteous, helpful, knowledgable and truly friendly; english spoken by all. They will help you in every way, from arranging Vatican Reservations to taxis to duct-taping broken suitcases! The hotel itself is exquisite,a seventeenth century convent designed by Boromini. The public areas are charming, with a jasmine-scented courtyard/garden, a lovely spot for an evening's drink or morning cappucino. The rooms are very clean and complete with all the amenities one could wish for, including big, fluffy robes. Included in the price is an awesome breakfast buffet, served in the old refectory. A wonderful, wonderful hotel, it remains one of my favorite Roman memories
“Beautiful historic gem!”
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful hotel in the lovely neighborhood of Trastevere. The rooms were very nice, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious. We would definitely stay there again!

Area:
Trastevere - Monteverde, Rome, Italy: Across the River Tiber, Trastevere is a well-established boho chic quarter, full of local character. The patchwork of tiny, cobbled streets houses many bars, good restaurants and buzzing nightlife spots. There is also a treasure trove of medieval churches. In its own piazza, the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere has shimmering golden mosaics and was probably Romes first Christian basilica, founded in 222 AD.
