“we will be back!!!”
fantastic experience. the staff could not be more helpfull. Easy and fast check in and out, multilingual staff, even gave us maps and directions for all the places we ask. Great breakfast as well! Bit far from the centre (about 40 minutes by bus or metro), but the tickets are just 1 euro. The swimming pool could be open till late, but we did not went to rome for that, anyway. Just fantastic!
“love to go back”
Having read the reviews we did wonder and dindn't expect a lot but we had a great time and met some lovely people. Hotel was clean and cleaned every day, Staff was friendly and helpful, Breakfast was good and plenty of it and Evening Meal reasonable priced. The Hotel itself was easy to get to once you know where you are going, we did our own research about the City we where about to visit and with the help and tips given in some of the reviews managed to get around fine. All in all we love to go back and visit Rome and the Hotel again.
“Wonderful break”
We had read mixed reviews and so went expecting little. However what we found was fantastic - the hotel was very comfortable, the staff helpful, the breakfast was varied and too morish. Pool was just what was needed after a hot day of sightseeing. We managed getting to the hotel with help - that could be a problem if you aren't tuned in to the Rome train, Metro, bus system. But it's not rocket science and it is much cheaper than the expensive transfer offered by Expedia (which changed price every time l rang) I can't understand the negative reviews cause we had a great time and would love to go back.
“Great Hotel”
This is a great hotel it is not to far from the city center, you do NEED to have a car though! despite it being close to a main road the area is rather quiet. Good clean rooms and "interesting" breakfast in the morning. Also the hotel is right next to a shopping mall! I will be going back to this hotel in the future
“once worked out transport excellent”
Could not fault Expedia or the Hotel except they forgot our early am call the day we left Hotel spotless and comfortable staff very nice. A map of location would have helped Would go again.
“A GREAT CHOICE!”
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it wasn't slap bang in the centre of town but the public transport network made it painless to get into the centre and back. Each day we returned to the room which was made up and always looked tidy. The Customer Service at the hotel was always friendly and welcoming. We bought a 7 day tourist travel pass which enabled us to use the metro and bus network each day "hop on, hop off" style. You pay once when you buy the ticket and that's it! I think the cost was cheap by comparison to the alternative. We did experience one day of strike action which made getting around harder but that aside transport wasn't an issue. Do be aware of the time at which public transport stops though. Taxis are everywhere so if push comes to shove you shouldn't be stranded.
“Beautiful, cute hotel. Definitely worth the money!”
A beautiful hotel, superbly clean and very friendly. The hotel was very warm, comfortable and i would definitely recommend this place to any travelling visitor. With great convenience to Rome's centre, this hotel is ideal for travellers. Excellent.
“Brilliant hotel”
We'll start with the quality of the hotel service. Well what can I say, everyone at the hotel was very polite and friendly. All members of staff spoke very good English for those times when you wish you'd spent a little more time studying the language. The condition of Thie hotel was great. Everything was clean inside and out. Outside was clean and there was no litter to be seen. Whilst inside the condition was even better the reception area especially beautiful and any pictures you may have seen do not begin to compare with seeing it in reality. The room we stayed in was great and the contents appeared to be well made and quality pieces. Everything worked in the room and there were no complaints about the condition of anything. Room service cleaned the room every day whilst we were out exploring, which gave you a nice feeling upon return, knowing that everything would be in it's place meaning very little work. One noticeable flaw with the room is that the double bed we had was actually two single beds pushed together but we would never have noticed if not for looking beneath the bed. It was very comfy despite this and felt like heaven following a long day of tourism. The location of the hotel is a little far from the hotel but once you know how to use the public transport and where to go then it became no problem at all. I would recommend planning how to get to the hotel because we got slightly lost at first. Thanks for reading guys and I hope you have as good a time as I.
“A Decent Hotel”
I spent 2 weeks at this hotel this summer with my GF and we did not have any problems with the hotel at all. The staff on the front desk were fine and answered all of our questions. Location - This is probably the worst aspect of the hotel, it is about 15km away from central Rome, we had to get a Bus and the Metro to get to Termini, which took about 45 minutes overall. Restaurant - The food here was OK, nothing special. They did a tourist meal deal for 15 euros per person which included 3 courses and a drink so that was good. Although the food was quite basic. We thought the breakfast was quite good, a selection of rolls, fruit, cereal, yoghurt, croissants, fruit juice etc. People annoy me when they complain about having a continental breakfast whilst staying in a european hotel...what do you expect when you are in Rome? The pool was quite nice, a bit small but it was nice to have somewhere to relax in the evening. Overall me and my GF had a great holiday in Rome, and the service we received from Cristoforo Columbo was very good. If you don't mind travelling to get to Rome then this would be a good place to stay. It is by a large shopping centre but there there are not many other hotels/bars around this area so there are positives and negatives to think about.
“Good Holiday”
Very pleased with the hotel and the service received

EUR, Rome, Italy: A couple of miles south of the city centre, EUR takes its name from Esposizione Universale di Roma, built for an exhibition in 1942. The bombastic architecture was then intended to glorify Fascism, but now is home to shops, cinemas and clubs and exhibitions. Within the marble halls there are also three very good museums, including the fascinating Museum of Roman Civilization.
