“A great choice of hotel”

Very helpful reception staff who spoke good English. We had a clean comfortable room although the shower was rather on the small side. Excellent spread available at breakfast and friendly staff. It was lovely to have bottled water replenished in the minibar fridge every day. We did have slight problems with the wifi and the air conditioning but these were promptly sorted.

professional, friendly and very helpful staff, hotel located in good neighborhood , two short blocks from tram, ten minutes to city center, and ten minutes approx. to vatican. very good breakfast. very nice and clean rooms. my family loved the stay here. Would definetely recommend this hotel.

“Beware at Breakfast!!”

The hotel is not what I expected from the pictures...it seemed to be so much larger in pictures than in real life, however the staff was very pleasent and rooms were clean. Unfortunately, one morning at breakfast my daughter put some bread in the toaster and it jammed ...a woman came up screamming and yelling at her ...telling her not to do that!!! Needless to say she shocked and emparased us in a resturant full of guests. Later I asked someone who that person was that seemed so entittled and acted arrogantly toward my daughter and I was told that she is the daughter of the owner!

a very nice clean hotel not right in the centre but very easy to get to with romes excellent public transport, 4 euros gave you a whole days travel on metro tram or buses. the rooms were a nice size and very clean. there was a good choice for breakfast accommadating tourists from everywhere i would recomend this hotel and hope to return one day.

“A great place to hang your hat”

Located about a mile from Palazo del Popino, beside the Tevere river, it's well located without being in the heart of the action. A streetcar is within a block that takes you to the Palazo for 1 Euro. The hotel is very clean, employees are very friendly and helpful. The deluxe room was a nice upgrade from the standard as it was much larger and came with a great view. I'd return to the Astrid in a heartbeat.

“Air conditioning or large bed..cant have both apparently”

The actual size of the room is unbelievably small. The photo of the room is misleading. There is no walking space around the bed in actuality. There was no balcony in the room like advertised. The first night..the bathroom was set up for only one person although I booked a double room. The temperature in Rome all three nights I stayed was aprox. 100 degrees and the air conditioning in the room was not working. When I called the desk, they told me I requested a large bed when I booked the hotel, and that the particular room with the large bed did not have a working air conditioner. I wish they would have mentioned this to me prior to checking me into this room..so I could have made the decision about what was "priority".

“Wonderful Little Hotel”

My husband, 16 yr. old daughter & I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. Front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and staff was very nice. Room was clean, roomy & quiet. Tram and bus were very close and easy to use. Free internet in room with own computer and free soft drinks & water in the mini bar frig. (though ours was not cold) were appreciated.

“Ruhig mit guter Verkehrsanbindung und gutem Frühstück”

Wir waren jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal in diesem Hotel. Die Zimmer zum Innenhof sind sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück gibt es in einer Art Wintergarten im 5. Stock und dort hat man eine tolle Aussicht. Blick auf den Fluss und den Petersdom. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich und statt Filterkaffee gibt´s Cappuccino soviel man mag. Die Strassenbahn ist ca. 100m entfernt, von dort hat man einen Metro Anschluss. Alles in allem, super Preis Leistungsverhältnis, jederzeit wieder.
