“handy for everything”
The hotel is getting on a bit and shows it in places but was generally clean and tidy. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is in an excellent position to get to the main sites - the vatican is five minutes away and it`s a ten minute walk to get to the main centre past Castel sant angelo, etc. Franchi`s is very close by and there is a Castroni next door so buying foodie presents, etc is very easy!
“Great Location, Friendly Staff”
The Atlante Garden Hotel is a very convenient location for visiting the Vatican and the Roman Forum and its surrounding areas. We walked most all places - and felt very comfortable and safe. The (free) pick-up service from the airport was great. We had an issue with lost luggage from the airline for two days and the front desk was "extremely helpful" with phone calls, etc. We did not reserve the breakfast included with the room, because it was little pricey - there are several street cafes nearby - but some more expensive than the hotel. There were some reasonable eateries, but if you are in a rush, it would be much better to eat at the hotel and then be on your way. We would definitely stay at this hotel again !
“Sadi D”
Hotel was very central to all the main tourist sights within Rome.
“Family of Ten”
We have nothing but good things to say about the Hotel. The staff were great, they spoke english and were very helpfull. The airport pick-up was on time and free. The Hotel booked the return trip at a very good price. The room was clean and confortable and the size you would expect for the price. The Hotel was six blocks from St. Peter's Square and eight blokcs from Vatican Museum. Metro was further but in waling distance. Could't figure out the bus routes from Hotel. A lot of shops, eating places, banks and markets in the area. The breakfast was good (cold breakfast) but if you do not want to pay the extra $12 per day, the delli across the street has coffee and rolls for 4 euros. The staff recommended good places to eat. Meals in Rome are a lot more expensive than on my last visit two years ago. I would stay at this hotel again
“Average at best...”
Airport transfer was a little hairy... crazy driver! Nice welcome at hotel though. Room was dated but clean enough, air con not working and Tv played up when we did attempt to watch it. The woest thing was the road noise during the night as windows NOT double glazed but I guess that's what you get with a central location? Overall ok but wouldn't return.
“no free shuttle back to the airport”
shuttle to the airport is $60.00!! Hotel was fine, as was the location if you want to be at the Vatican.
“Charming Hotel with a staff that cares about you.”
Great hotel, the staff was very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help a customer. The airline lost a guest's luggage and the staff spent hours talking with the airline on her behalf to assist in locating her luggage. The room was larger than most rooms that I have stayed in Europe, and had a full size bathroom. Only complaint with the room was that the bed was a little hard.
“Nov 4br”
Booked room for 4 and got ta nice corner room with a double and two singles. ITs a big city hotel that charges extra for everything, and the location is only good for the Vatican, but we had a pleasant time. The staff was great. Not cheap but not a rip off either.
“Loved”
Convenience location perfect place for our 28 aniversary.Francesco the best from desk gracias
“Very nice and over all happy”
I was very happy with the Hotel. You have to remember that by going to Rome Italy, you're going back in time. Everything is older and smaller, but that's the beauty of it. Thank God it has not been Super Sized yet, and I hope, wish and pray it never does get Super Sized. Now, about the Hotel itself. The Bathroom was a good size and the rest of the room as well. I did not go to Rome to stay in my room. I also did not go all the way to Rome to eat at the Hotel, so I do not know what their food is like. The Staff was O.K. I guess it's just a job for them, I was not there to make friends with them. They were o.k. and helpful. The location was great in my opinion. I would recommend this Hotel to others. Remember, you're going to Rome for it's Historic Beauty and a trip into the past. Not it's hotels.
