“Wonderful hotel.”
This is our twelve visit to the Aldrovandi. Friendly and helpful staff. It is great to have a swimming pool in the summer. Only negative the breakfast is expensive and limited if not included in your rate.
“High quality”
the only thing I would complain about is the check in - my room was not ready until late in the afternoon which was very annoying. I arrived at 2pm, had to wait until 2.30pm and because nothing was happening I had to leave for a business meeting. One evening (around 7pm) I came back to my room and it was half cleaned but when I came back after diner (around 9pm, the room was finally finished). The rest was really good
“10 out of 10 and one not to miss out on when in Rome!!”
Initially booked this hotel for its high ratings and swimming pool. I took on board a review that the shuttle was busy and that it wasnt as central as other hotels, causing some inconvenience. I have to say I regard our family as world travellers and thus can without any hesitation state this hotel was one of the best we have ever stayed in. The rooms were spotless, towels were replaced twice a day (even on the last day!). The staff couldnt help any more than they did and their service came with a genuine smile. The shuttle was excellent, to the point of actually going off route to a few places to save our legs! We stayed at the height of the season but there was never a problem with space in the shuttle, around the pool or in the restaurants. All in all an excellent hotel which we cannot rate more highly. Certainly think it was worth staying that little bit out of the centre (5 mins by Shuttle) to allow us to relax next to the quiet pool after sightseeing. We will definately be back!!
“Lovely hotel - beautiful setting”
The Aldrovandi Palace proved to be an excellent choice of hotel. It is in a beautiful position within the famous Borghese Gardens and within walking distance of the major sights. The hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. With an award winning restaurant looking out onto the hotel garden and pool, our stay was delightful. I would definitely return.
“Fantastic Hotel”
Loved our short break at this fantastic hotel in Rome, the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly and bent over backwards to to give us a wonderful holiday. The pool area is lovely and extremely well run, with complimentary bottles of water given to us at our sun-loungers. The charming breakfast room and wonderful food was a bonus, with even the offer of prosecco to accompany our late and lazy breakfasts. The hotel's Villa Borghese location offers the best of both worlds; easy access to the bustling centre with all its sights, yet a peaceful retreat upon your return. When next in Rome I plan to stay here again, counting the days!!
“A beautiful oasis of calm and tranqulity in a very busy and fast paced city.”
We enjoyed our stay at the Aldrovandi Palace enormously. Our warm and highly efficient welcome from Guiesppe at reception heralded the start of all our experiences at the hotel. He also booked restaurants we requested for us and Mario and he would arrange any other bookings from taxis to the vast number of historic buildings. Each member of staff was completely charming and went out of their way to meet customer needs. A special feature was the use of aromatherapy candles in the large and beautiful marbled hotel lobby and reception area during the evenings, which created a delightful sense of well being as guests walked in through the doors. The lovely swimming pool area, like everywhwere else is extremely well managed and again provides a calm and comfortable haven for guests. A well chosen selection for the buffet breakfast were willingly supplemented with other choices if guests wished and another extra service - the courtesy bus to the Spanish Steps at regular intervals was excellent. Daniel, recognised guests quickly and ensured this reliable service worked well for us all. The hotel was a very, very special part of our holiday and we would love to stay there again.
“Best of everything”
We specifically selected this hotel because of the pool; it was our first trip away from our 2 year old boy and we wanted to have a couple of hour sessions in the sun. The pool is lovely (although the service by the pool is our only criticism - it wasn't very proactive). The shuttle service operated by the hotel to the bottom of the Spanish is brilliant - always on time and the drivers are excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel on our next visit to Rome. As my headline implies this is a great location, a lovely hotel and access to central Rome is a piece of cake.
“Very Impressed”
I like this hotel a lot, staff are very friendly and willing to help at any time. Top service, will definately going back to this hotel.
“Very friendly hotel with a very welcome pool area”
We spent 7 nights in the Aldrovandi Palace and were very impressed with the level of service. The staff were attentive and friendly. The room was neat and tidy and the lobby area pleasant rather than grand. The location was fine but not central. Some nice walks in the park across from the hotel and a tram service to some locations. There was a very useful half hourly free shuttle service to the Spanish Steps but if you want to walk out into the bustle of the city from your hotel then stay elsewhere. We enjoyed unwinding by the pool after a lot of foot slogging sightseeing.
“Romes Best Hotel”
Fantastic recent stay in Rome at this 5-star hotel If you can afford the food and getting around then don't even consider anywhere else with a lovely pool and only short distance to the centre of Rome this is eht perfect getaway
