We have just come back from a 4 day, 3 night trip from Rome. The hotel was simply beautiful. The staff were very attentive and caring with attention to detail. We had no complaints and would very much recommend The Grand Melia to anybody looking to stay in Rome. It's also in a very good location and walking distance from every main attraction in Rome.
"Very comfortable apartment in quiet area of Rome"
8 day city break. Very comfortable apartment with self catering facilities. Good tram links to centre of town and the Vatican.
Staff very friendly and helpful

Lovely hotel ,nice facilities ,very useful shuttle to Spanish Steps .Staff friendly and very helpful.Good grill ,slightly pricey but good quality.Enjoyed spa ,very nice recovery for Rome feet !
Room very comfortable .Nice touches such as free umbrellas ,we needed to use them.Very peaceful. We recommend this hotel wholeheartedly and we stay again on our next visit to Rome.
"Nice hotel about 30 minutes walk from the Vatican."
Arrived midday Monday; left Friday lunchtime but managed to fit in a visit to the Vatican, Forum and Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain (behind scaffolding at the moment :( ), Pantheon and the Castel St Angelo; plus a 2hr ride on the hop on hop off city tour bus.
Would use the metro next time to save energy to walk round the sites. The nearest metro to the hotel is about 25 minutes but useful to get to the sites in the old city. There are a couple of buses that can be used as well but did not bother .. took the courtesy car most days to the city and walked back each evening.
Great place to eat is near the Vatican as you approach St Peter's Square on the right-hand side. It is a self service cafe but the staff serve you and take you to a seat. You will not have your own table but seems to work quite well.
Wherever you walk you will find something take your interest.
Zebra crossings are a bit scary. Best advice is ... if they hit you they get into lots of trouble so with care step onto the crossing and they will stop. Better still follow the locals.
Cannot praise the staff enough. All very friendly and helpful.
Luxurious surroundings and extremely friendly & most helpful staff. Perfect location, walking distance to most of the main tourist locations ie coliseum, pantheon, Spanish steps & ofcourse the shops and restaurants. Plan to go back to Rome & will definitely stay at the Boscolo Exedra Roma again .
