Excellent central hotel, very comfortable and classic. Beautiful decor. Being close to the famous sights eg 10 minutes walk to Trevi fountain, we were concerned that it might be noisey but very calm and quiet. Definitely recommend this delightful hotel, a great base for a trip to Rome. A lovely buffet breakfast.
The hotel was very centrally placed and within easy walking distance of shops and the main piazas. The staff couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. They recommended and booked the best restaurants for us, and organised bookings for the sights we wanted to see. Outstanding service. The room was very clean and well soundproofed. The only slight problem we had was that the air conditioning had been switched to heating due to the time of year, but it was still quite warm outside and we found the room a bit hot. Otherwise five stars all the way. We would definitely book again.
Our second stay at 47 and it was just as good.very friendly and helpful staff. The food and service in the Rooftop Restaurant is superb. This is a hotel to be recommended for its facilities and for the area.
We stayed three nights at this hotel to end a two week vacation traveling around Italy. We loved it! Very clean, very comfortable, polite and helpful staff, great breakfast buffet every morning. The only negatives were that our fridge didn't work but they immediately offered a different room and it was pretty noisy from street noise well into the wee hours of the morning but we would absolutely stay in this hotel again and would definitely recommend to our friends!
Our stay at Hotel Duca D'Alba was far the best hotel of our trip through Italy. The loaction is amazing and super close to the Colloseum!!!
The staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly, and the room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and there were several choices. Air condition was running even in November (which is a luxury in Italy). Wifi was easy to log on and worked well our entire stay. They offer a shuttle to the airport for around 14£ a person. They made it very easy to schedule.
From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out (a total of 4 days and 3 nights) we knew we hit gold with The Inn at the Forum. Although it was a little difficult to find, that actually being more a problem for our taxi driver than for us, once we did arrive you could not have asked for a more genuine welcome. At checkin we were treated to a welcome drink and a tour of their very own "Old Roman Ruins" before we were shown to our rooms. Perfectly clean and beautifully laid out, spacious with all modern conveniences (working too !! this is Italy after all and my other experiences of Italy are more Form than Function). Although we were about as central to Rome as you can get, you still feel you have peace and tranquility all around. Nothing was more than a 20 minute walk (with so much more to discover at every turn of the paths/roads) , with the exception of the Vatican which was a short Bus ride away. Local restaurants serving great food at very affordable prices all a short stagger home (fuelled by plenty of vino collapso -- the local brew).
I can HIGHLY recommend The Inn at the Forum to anyone ( and having left our younglings at home) particularly couples without offspring in tow.
Just off main shopping zones, adjacent to Spanish Steps and other attractions. Brilliant staff. New hotel and even squeakily so. Spagna Metro nearby.
Make sure you know the street number before trying to find it.
