“Great Price But Lacks Convenience to the Casino”

The hotel is not connected to the casino. I did not realize this when I read about the hotel. I assumed a free shuttle meant to the other casinos in the area. The reality is you must take a shuttle or drive over to the actual Harrah's casino to enjoy any show or any of the buffets or dining experiences. This takes away the convenience of running to your room to freshen up or getting something you forgot. Not a big deal except that we opted for the shuttle. Even though it runs every 15 minutes - a line forms and we had to wait for a second shuttle. Should we choose this hotel again in the future, we will drive instead of using the shuttle. If you are going to visit the casinos you will find that the price is good compared to the other hotels in the area but the reason is obvious when you sacrifice the convenience of having your hotel and casino atttached. If you are not interested in the casino and rather have room service for food then you should be pleased with the traditional hotel ammenities.

“"saddened by condition of the room"”

Stayed at Harrah's right after I got married in '99. Rooms were great. Stayed 10/28/11 and found the rooms in bad shape. My wife saw a roach in the bathroom under the sink. There was cracks in the tub. The toilet continued to run until I fixed it. The sink would not drain. I fixed that. The TV remote did not work. I was completely saddened by how the hotel had fell off in 10 years. We will not stay there again.

“Misleading”

This hotel is not at Harrah's Casino. It is the Terrace Hotel which is owned by Harrah's. The parking lot is a long way to the Hotel entrance. Also, in case you don't know, as we didn't, you will have a $50.00 incidental fee charged immediately to your credit or debit card which could take up to 30 days for a refund.

“meets minimum acceptable standard”

Harrah's Tunica is actually 3 hotels- which they neglected to mention when the reservation was made. we went to the main hotel at the casino and the desk clerk was abrupt to the point of rudeness when letting us know that. directions to our hotel were sketchy and there were no lights to illuminate the signs that gave the direction. The shuttle Drivers were super sweet- very friendly and outgoing. the hotel was clean and comfortable the housekeeping staff were helpful.

“Has gone downhill”

Have stayed at this hotel previously. The condition and cleanliness of the rooms has suffered. The room was dirty, dusty, and had mold in the bathroom. The room door stuck badly had to really use force to get it. Had very loud, obnoxious people in the next room. We paid for two nights stay and should have left after the first. The hotel is convenient to downtown Memphis and was cheap. You really do get what you pay for. Won't use this hotel again.
