“A relaxing getaway”

My second visit to Playa Del Carmen, first time at Playa Palms. Arrived early evening and taken to a beautiful room looking over the beach. The bed was huge and the room was very comfortable. I made use of the hammock on the balcony and it was so convenient to 5th Avenue. I was a single female travelling and felt safe and secure the whole time. The location was fantastic, justs steps to the beach. Plus having free wifi and bottled drinking water at no charge was a bonus. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back. This hotel is fantastic!

“Good hotel, but too noisy for us”

Nice hotel, excellent staff, but loud nightclub next door! Music blaring until 4:00 in the morning!

“Super relaxed atmosphere.”

The staff here is sincerely friendly, make you feel at home. The location is supreme, right on the beach, two minute walk to center of Fifth Avenue. Close to the party zone just a little noisy sometimes. Overall we'd recommend this hotel with high grades for relaxation and safety.

“Delightful with one exception....”

We enjoyed our stay here, the staff were accomodating and friendly. The setting adorable, great location, very quaint. The major drawback is that there is a nightclub located next door that is extremely loud until 2:00 a.,m. If you are going to party, you will love it! If you are going for R & R, best to pick a more restful night time location.

“Great little Hotel”

Cute hotel, great location, beautiful beachfront. The one downside is the nearby night clubs. The music goes all night. Took a couple days to get used to it, but then it was fine. We were on the top floor ocean front which was beautiful, but had a thatched roof that may have contributed to some of the noise. Had a great time and would recommend this hotel.

“Beautiful Quaint Hotel”

Our 10 day stay at Playa Palms was just what we wanted. This is a very quaint hotel. Very clean. Location couldn't be better for beach access or to go to the restaurants and 5th Ave. The neighboring night life can be loud and go quite late but a nap on the beach satifies that. The pool is small and mostly shaded but the Carribean isn't! Would stay again only longer. Good Hotel.

“Best beach front location in all of Playa!”

Wow! Best beach front location in all of Playa del Carmen. Loved this charming boutique hotel, it had been recommended by friends who live in Playa. Room was spacious and comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful, but most of all we LOVED this perfect location right on a great stretch of beach, yet walking distance (two blocks or so) to 5th Avenue and all the shops, restaurants and activities it offers. The pool is small but there's so much great beach right in front that I never saw anyone use the pool. Lots of beach chairs with umbrellas or palm trees for shade, nice bar and restaurant next door with service to the beach chairs, good swimming right in front of the hotel, and a couple of good dive shops just a block away. While there we looked at a couple of other places on the beach and their rates were twice as high as what we paid here. Great location, great value!

“Comfortable hotel in convenient area”

Nice hotel in convenient location. Can be a little loud since it's near all the bars.

“Very Nice and Friendly Employees---really ENJOYED our stay!”

We had a small issue with the toilet not flushing properly--We let the office know within 5 min--we heard a knock on our door and it was taken care of! That was great service! The grounds area around the hotel was always nice and clean. We would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a smaller more quaint hotel.
