“playa del carmen s best hotel , best team to help you.....”
hello just came back from that great place , that I can specialemently recommend to go. nice place , personnal attention, great team with josue, alejandra, vero, and clarita as room attendant . if you need to relax, it is quiet, clean and near by everything and one corner to the beach ye!!! everything is perfect there and always with a big smile .... so enjoy it too !!! lily
“Awesome location, very friendly staff”
No beach view but you"re right in the center of the action; restaurants, shops and clubs, while still being a very quiet Hotel. Beachfront Hotels can be far away from everything. Great value for the price. Will return.
“Looking forward to a return visit- hopefully soon!”
From start to end, a wonderful experience. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was basic but clean and very comfortable. Loved the mexican tile sink! Our room had a balcony and the sitting area on the 2nd floor was a nice place to relax. A basic free continental breakfast was attractively served at a nearby restaurant. We ate dinner at the attached restaurant and found the Italian food to be very good with homemade pasta. The hotel is a few block from the beach, an easy and nice 10 min walk. Note this hotel is about 12 blocks from the ADO bus station, a cab ride from bus station to hotel cost around $3. Cab from hotel to Xcaret was around $10. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.
“Best 3* hotel choice in PDC”
Nest value for your money
“great location”
Great location!!!! the only problem is that the kitchen is downstairs, so you can't sleep before 2am and the rooms are not pretty, but great value-price.
“Not impressed”
We just came back from Mexico on Feb 26, 2011. The Hotel is OK, but rooms are too small. Also, we had the wors sleepeng bed we had ever slept! It was extremely uncomfortable and rough. We had a feeling, that we sleeping on a wood boards. Only because of this, we would not come back to this hotel.
“Great location for not too picky couple”
Our family (me my spouse and two boys 10 and 3 years old) stayed here for 7 nights over Christmas vacation. We did not expect any luxury and just needed a safe and comfortable nights for an affordable price. Location is the best part of this hotel - 3 blocks from beach and right on 5th ave. Also good breakfast was covered for 50 pesos for each person in the restaurant across the street. It would be enough to pay for continental toasts and coffee, pay extra for other menu items. There were a few problems with lights, plumbing and noise. Safe box in the closet was not attached to the wall - just a thief convenience package. Nothing bad happened. Staff was helpful and friendly.
“Great Location”
Our first night we were kept up from some sort of drilling/construction/maintenance that was going on until 3am. It sounded like someone had a jackhammer next door. The following day we packed up our things, and were without a room for a couple hours. The hotel clerk was apologetic about the switch and moved our suitcases into our new room. The new room had a leaky sink, and the bathroom floor was flooded. I think we just had bad luck. The maids were great, the hotel was clean, the staff was nice, we always felt safe, and the location is good. If you prefer resorts with pools, then this is not the place for you. If you like a bit of character then give it a try. Playa was a great vacation and we can't wait to go back. If you take the ferry to Cozumel try the jeep day tour.
“One of the greatest places to go.”
It's always difficult to pick a hotel to a place you have never gone too, at least it was for me. I choose Hacienda Mariposa from looking at the different reviews. I am glad i choose this hotel as i have nothing negative to say about it. unless u are an extremely and i do mean extremely picky person (High Maitenence)than this is not the place for u. price is very good. I am already looking into going back. looking at the reviews to this place most all are good. so please beleive this is a great place to stay.
“We'd go back”
We stayed at Posada Mariposa. We were pleased. Room was big, super clean, nicely decorated, and had a safe, mini fridge, and TV. Check-in was easy. Hotel location is a good, right ON 5th Avenue. It was not noisy though. Hotel is at the north end of the strip, a 15 min walk to the bus station. And a 5 minute walk to the beach. We might consider staying at a hotel a little closer to the bus station next time though.
