We were welcomed by *the* most personable lady at reception. She set the standard of our entire stay. We equally enjoyed the fun yet elegant evening dining and the property itself. But. The stand out feature of this villa was its people. Just fabulous -

Villa Franceschi, at only 10 Km from Venice, overlooks the banks of the Brenta, the Riviera of the noble families of Venice …More
This is a original old villa that has stayed in the family for generations. It's unpretentious almost like visiting your excentric uncle in his country villa beautiful venetian chandeliers. In order to get good wifi you must practically sit on the receptionist lap. The breakfast could be improved. A little fruit would help and bulk yogurt with lots of toppings! Fantastic dinners and general staff very friendly!

We stayed here for one night. Our room was clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was tasty -- fruit juice, coffee, and a selection of fresh breads and baked goods. The hotel is located very close to a bus stop that takes you into Venice. However, we found the buses to be old, cramped and late, so we would have preferred to stay closer to the city.
The hotel is beautiful at a great location. The breakfast was superb. The town of Mira is worth a visit on its own. Very convenient to Venice. Staff were very helpful. The room was picture perfect and if it was just the two of us it would have been fine. However, for the kids we got a room with a sofa bed. It was the most uncomfortable bed ever, and I mean it! We really thought it may be better for them to sleep on the wooden floor.
